Sam Thompson lets slip Zara McDermotts first Strictly dance as she prepares

Sam Thompson might just have made a huge Strictly Come Dancing blunder.

His girlfriend Zara McDermott, 26 has made history after she was announced as the first ever contestant from Love Island to step onto the infamous BBC dance floor.

However the former Made In Chelsea personality might have left slip on his Hits Radio show what dance she is doing on the first week.

Sam, 31 spoke about the show live on-air as he revealed that Zara's been practicing for her debut on the programme every night in her kitchen.

"I’ve been dancing a lot in my household – the prep is real at our gaff," he explained.

"I genuinely think I’ve waltzed around the kitchen with Zara about 50 times right now and I don’t even know how to waltz."

The star also said how he cannot wait to watch his partner in the audience as he exclaimed: "The fever is growing, all systems go! I’m so excited to watch her, I’m going to start making my banners, I can’t wait.

"Although she only gets two tickets to go to the live shows and she’s already told me that she wants her parents to go to the majority of them so I’ll guess I’ll be standing outside."

He added: "But I don’t care I will be there."

This comes after it was rumored that Sam was 'dreading' the start of the competition due to the infamous Strictly curse.

He was said to be feeling 'insecure' as she geared up to show off her dancing skills on the primetime show.

The pair previously split up in August of 2019 after it was revealed that Zara was locked in a tryst with 'someone in the music industry' when she made her appearance on The X Factor: Celebrity.
