Dispatches reveals VW ID3 car is being sold for £59k
Mystery grew today over what could be the subject of a major Channel 4 Dispatches documentary which is set to be broadcast on Saturday night.
Now, it has been said that the episode could be “potentially hugely damaging” for an A-list household name, highlighting their bad behaviour.
Channel 4 prepared the documentary this week and will be airing the last-minute Dispatches special on Saturday, September 16, at 9pm.
A TV insider commented: “This programme has been years in the making and is being edited up to the last minute. It has the potential to halt the career of at least one celebrity with the contents.”

After the episode was listed with no title, Channel 4 news presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy simply commented on social media: “Something’s up”.
The one-off documentary, which is going to air this weekend, has been listed on Channel 4’s TV guide as simply: “New: Dispatches Special. A 90-minute special Dispatches investigation.”
In the link to the programme page, a message comes up which reads: “That page cannot be found.
“Either the address is incorrect or the page is no longer available.”
The Radio Times TV guide has also featured it in its listings this week with no clearer explanation of what it’s about.
Its synopsis reads: “Dispatches – Investigation series covering issues in British society, politics, international current affairs, health, religion and the environment.”
The show is due to finish at about 10.30pm and will be repeated on Channel 4 the following day, Sunday, September 17, at 10.50pm.
It will also be shown on Monday, September 18, on its sister channel 4Seven at 9pm.

There is already tension building on what the 90-minute special is about which will also be covered by the Sunday Times, according to the General Secretary of the Free Speech Union, Toby Young.
Taking to X, what was formerly known as Twitter, he posted: “Rumour has it the Sunday Times is working on a big story this weekend — biggest of the year, supposedly. Due to drop tomorrow at 3pm.
“Leave cancelled, all hands to the pump, security tightened, etc. May be a sex scandal of some kind, possibly involving a politician. Anyone know?”
Over the years, Channel 4 Dispatches has highlighted a number of controversial topics.
Some of the channel’s programmes have included Broke: Britain’s Debt Emergency, Airport Chaos Undercover, Ukraine: Life Under Attack and The Truth About Nike and Adidas.
The show also investigated celebrities who accepted payment in return for supporting a charity, with the episode entitled Celebs for Sale: The Great Charity Scandal.
Last year, there was also Jeremy Kyle Show: Death on Daytime which focused on the treatment and lack of care taken towards some of its guests and staff on ITV’s The Jeremy Kyle Show which was cancelled in 2019.
Channel 4 Dispatches airs on Saturday, September 16, at 9pm.
