James Haskell is still living at his family home with wife Chloe Madeley in the wake of their split, MailOnline can exclusively reveal.
The former rugby player, 38, and the personal trainer, 36, confirmed their separation in a joint statement released on Saturday.
It comes after months of speculation about the couple’s relationship after Chloe emerged without her wedding ring as she partied with friends – following James being pictured chatting to a mystery blonde outside a London nightspot.
Since then, the couple – who married in 2018 – have both been seen out on several occasions without their rings.
A source told MailOnline: ‘James Haskell is still living at the family home in London, he arrived back on Monday and was still there yesterday morning.’

Chloe and James reunited back home in north London with their daughter Bodhi on Wednesday, after James spent the weekend in Paris for the England vs South Africa rugby match.
They put on the appearance of a happy family as James took to Instagram on Tuesday to confirm they were both together at home after his trip.
He posted a video of their 14-month-old daughter Bodhi driving a toy car in their kitchen.
Chloe was seen playing with the little one, while James shared some words of encouragement from behind the camera.
He penned in the caption: ‘Bodhi keeping the drive bye high-fives tight.’
But on Saturday they released a joint update shared to Instagram that read: ‘Chloe and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023.
‘We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.’
Chloe added: ‘Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time.

‘Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love.’
Sharing his own statement to Instagram, James added: ‘It’s with a lot of sadness I write this post, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done.
‘My priority is my daughter’s and Chloe’s happiness and security. For that reason, I won’t be commenting any further.’
Chloe did not reveal the split while promoting her ITV show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair but instead talked about their marriage as if they were still together.
One friend of the couple told MailOnline: ‘It is all so weird, and it all seems rather rum that Chloe did a round of interviews and talked very openly about her life and the marriage but she failed to say that she and James had split despite her television show being all about her family life.’
Earlier this week, Chloe took yet another swipe at James as she answered a fan during a Q&A session on social media.
Sharing a question to Instagram, one follower asked the TV personality how she deals with attention following the release of her new fly-on-the-wall reality show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair.
The new series documents her daily life with former rugby player James and their 14-month old daughter Bodhi.

The daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan answered: ‘It’s to be expected with a TV show out tbh.
‘100% focused on my daughter, my friends, my family, my work, my health, my reality. That’s how.’
Previously, Chloe made a veiled comment about ‘keeping it real’ as she thanked social media followers for praising her new show.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: ‘Thank you all so much for your BEYOND lovely messages about the show! I love that so many of you are saying you find it funny and relatable.
‘The goal was to keep it 100% real, which is scary, so to have so many mums and couples saying this is exactly what they like about it is a huge relief, comfort and joy. Thank you so much.’
James enjoyed a boozy night out with pals in Paris last Friday as he attended the Blackeye Dry Gin party – a company that he co-founded.
Brushing off the drama in the French capital, James appeared to be having the time of his life as he smiled for some photos.
The sportsman helped to pour out some gin and tonics at the event while watching England take on South Africa in the Rugby World Cup.
When in Rome: Chloe was at home looking after their 14-month old daughter Bodhi while James was out DJing in Ibiza, which he has done since retiring from professional rugby
After spotting the pictures, she said: ‘He’s on Instagram uploading videos and photos of all these girls, and I was like, “I will kill you. I will fly to Ibiza and kill you”
Chloe emerged without her wedding ring as she partied with friends in October – shortly after James was pictured chatting to a mystery blonde outside a London nightspot.
The woman was later revealed to be PR director Martine Bridge, a close friend of the former rugby ace with connections to the upper echelons of London high society.
Days later he was seen without his wedding ring while out with infant daughter Bodhi – the couple’s only child – close to their family home.
In recent scenes from their new reality show he bore the brunt of Chloe’s frustration after jetting to Ibiza for a DJ gig – where he was pictured partying with a troupe of bikini-clad dancers.
Documenting the job on social media, James was surrounded by scantily-clothed women – leaving his wife, who was back in the United Kingdom, less than impressed.
After spotting the pictures, she raged: ‘He’s on Instagram uploading videos and photos of all these girls, and I was like, “I will kill you. I will fly to Ibiza and kill you”.
‘He posted videos of him with loads of girls in thongs ‘cos he thinks that it like makes him look cool on social media. I’m like you’re a k*** and you make me look like a k***. Stop doing it.’
However, she did admit: ‘But he loves it. Honestly, at least he’s having fun. You know what I mean.’
Chloe was at home looking after their 14-month old while James was out DJing in Ibiza, which he has done since retiring from professional rugby.
She said: ‘I think there’s an element of he misses Bodhi. Not me. Definitely not me. But he actually misses Bodhi, and I think he feels a bit guilty.’
During a recent interview, James revealed he had ‘a few arguments’ with his wife after extending his DJing trip.
An interview on the island with the former rugby player was published earlier this month, days after he was forced to deny any wrongdoing when pictures emerged of him looking cosy with a mystery blonde while on a night out in London.
Speaking to Unfiltered, James revealed Chloe thinks his jaunts to Ibiza are a ‘holiday’ for him, and she was furious when he extended his work trip by a few days.
James admitted: ‘My wife thinks DJing in Ibiza is a holiday – it’s work. We’ve had a few arguments about it. I mean she’s very supportive, but kind of extending your trip for a few extra days is probably taking the p**s a little bit.’
The retired athlete said the trip had to be extended, explaining: ‘I have to do an interview with you guys and I’ve got a boat trip later.’

He added: ‘It’s work, but it’s fun. That’s why everyone needs to be a DJ really.’
James said he turned to DJing because he’s a ‘massive attention seeker’.
‘Everything is around performing. I’m a massive attention seeker and I really enjoy performing, none of my work feels like work. The DJing is music and performing, it’s a transition from rugby,’ he said.
‘If I could do only one thing moving forward it would be DJing, but it’s a tough nut to crack, obviously.’
