The Grand Tour stars 'marooned' on set of new special episode after flight chaos | The Sun
JEREMY Clarkson and his team have found themselves in serious trouble while shooting The Grand Tour's latest special.
Chaos took over filming when the show's presenters were left stranded in Botswana.
Amazon Prime's hit motoring program returned to the platform in mid-September 2022 for a brand new fifth season.
Jeremy, Richard Hammond, James May and Andy Wilman carried the show to success after their respective exits from BBC staple Top Gear.
In recent weeks, the TV stars jetted off to Zimbabwe for a special episode.
But many Grand Tour viewers were taken aback today when James May turned to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a shocking announcement.

The presenter revealed that he and his co-stars were "marooned" in Botswana due to an issue with the flight they would have boarded to go back home.
"BREAKING",the 60-year-old wrote, "Grand tour presenters MAROONED in Botswana wildlife paradise following cancellation of BA flight home. Updates to follow."
Many fans immediately took to the comment section, with some making light of the situation.
"Here's a suggestion… The Grand Tour journey through Africa back home. Multi-part special as the trio drive their way back home instead of fly", one viewer wrote.

Another quipped: "Plot twist: This is part of a challenge with Jeremy Clarkson driving his hated Porsche 911 home while James May and Richard Hammond try to fly home."
"Now James May is attempting to get a new flight to stay in the challenge after a cancellation."
However, a representative for British Airways also jumped into the conversation with a solution.
A few minutes later, James posted another, seemingly humorous, update on their situation.
"LATEST. Staff/guest ratio ‘as low as 40:1’ in hell-hole safari lodge where GT presenters have been abandoned by their crew. Cheese has arrived", he wrote, sharing a photo of a cheese and fruit board.
When asked about what his co-star Jeremy Clarkson was up to by a fan, James added: "He’s sitting opposite me and drinking rosé rofl. The situation is desperate."
Prior to their flight issues, Jeremy Clarkson penned a touching thank you note to the country of Zimbabwe, a bordering country with Botswana, on his own X account.
"My profound thanks to the people and government of Zimbabwe for helping to make a very special Grand Tour special, very special. We absolutely adored everything about your country. Apart from the pot holes maybe", the statement read.
Fans demanded to know when the next episode of The Grand Tour would be dropping on Amazon but were met with silence.
As mentioned above, the fifth series began last year with its latest instalment in Central Europe aired on June 16, 2023.
This means viewers will most likely have to be patient before seeing the outcome of the presenters' chaotic trip.
