Emmerdale exit for beloved villager as Sam Dingle betrayal exposed
Emmerdale: Lydia confronts the Dingles over Craig’s death
In upcoming scenes in Emmerdale, Lydia Dingle (played by Karen Blick) decides to move out of the family home after her rapist Craig Reed (Ben Addis) was killed.
As the police investigation continues, the police try to find out who is the culprit for the businessman’s death.
However, Sam Dingle (James Hooton) is left shell-shocked after Lydia moves out.
Kim Tate (Claire King) offers for her to move into Home Farm, but Sam fears he’s lost her for good whilst Samson (Sam Hall) wants to try and fix things.
Will Sam be able to convince his wife to return? Or will she only be pushed away for good if she finds out that her husband has murdered Craig?

During Monday night’s ITV instalment, Lydia gathered the Dingle family in The Woolpack to quiz them on their whereabouts the night before.
However, as each of the Dingle stalwarts recalled where they were, they weren’t telling Lydia the entire truth.
But could one of them have killed Craig to get justice for the cleaner?
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk and other press, the actor who plays Sam admitted his character is hiding more than he is letting on.

Speaking about whether Sam could have killed Craig and whether he has it in him to kill, James said: “It’s an existential and philosophical question, isn’t it?
“Do any of us have it within us to kill? I would say that any one of us in this room… in any room, given the right circumstances has it within us to kill.”
Discussing how quickly it unfolds after Craig’s death, the soap star went on: “Without a shadow of a doubt, Craig’s body is found and it’s reported to the police.
“Quite obviously, from the police’s point of view, they want to eliminate anyone from their inquiries that had any axe to grind or potential reason for killing Craig.”
“If he has indeed been killed, of course,” he added.
The soap star went on to explain that the spotlight soon lands on Sam after he and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) kidnapped Craig.
“Sam is devastated thinking that his wife doesn’t love him anymore or that she is going to leave him,” James explained.
“And when it came to pass that he found out that she’d actually been raped, it is a shock, and all the emotions that come after finding something like that out.”
He added: “I think we have come to realise that Sam is conceding further information that could lead to a conclusion as to what happened about Craig.”
Could an exit be on the cards if Sam betrayed Lydia and killed Craig?
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
