Corries Leanne future sealed as ITV star addresses Stephens murder rampage
Coronation Street star Jane Danson has spilled what's in store with her character Leanne Battersby.
The ITV actress spoke exclusively to the Daily Star at the National Television Awards last week.
When asked what will be in store for her this Christmas, Jane answered: "Often we don't know until the 11th hour, I'm hoping it will be happy, I genuinely don't know I wish I could say that I did."

But is she worried Leanne will be swept up in Stephen Reid's murderous rampage?
"I've stayed well away from him… I do know how that finishes, so I think I'm safe to say that I'm safe on that one," she responded.
However, does she think Leanne could have it in her to take a darker turn one day?
Jane said: "I think in soap all characters have the potential to do something but I think it's really important to stay with who they are – but I'd always be up for it."
The actress also spoke about her husband heading back over to rival soap Emmerdale to play Harry.
She added: "We're both in the same business, so we both get the schedules and we understand all of that.
"We don't really get date nights that often but we just love being together – we first met when he was in Emmerdale a long time ago, 24 years ago, so it's gone full circle."
This comes after Corrie fans could finally see the back of Stephen, who is played by Todd Boyce, as police uncover a body.
Fans have been on the edge of their seats since his arrival on the soap last year.
So far, he has killed off businessman Rufus Donahue, Teddy Thompkins, and his dad Leo Tompkins – and he's not stopped yet.
ITV viewers will need to stay tuned to see if Stephen will own up to his heinous crimes or if he manages to get away with it.
As Stephen's anticipated exit looms closer, the actor is said to be lining up another role.
The star is set to appear in Derby Arena’s pantomime Mother Goose as Demon Vanity between December 8 – December 31.
