Coronation Street return for lost resident as Ed Baileys gambling exposed
Coronation Street: The Barlow’s interrogate Peter
Coronation Street’s Ed Bailey (played by Michael Georges) got caught out by Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) during tonight’s episode, and threatened to call Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw).
Ed had won £6,000 after placing a bet with the £1,000 he was meant to give Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell).
Upon his return home, he was faced with Dee-Dee Bailey (Shannique Sterling-Brown) and Michael and panicked, stuffing the money in the latter’s bag.
Later, while trying to find the money, he soon realised where it had been taken, but it was too late and Michael had been arrested and taken to the police station.
Waiting to hear the outcome, Ronnie soon joined Ed at the station and realised where the money had come from.

“I gave you a grand to give to your son and you took it down the bookies, didn’t you? This is so stupid on so many levels,” Ronnie exclaimed to Ed.
Trying to defend himself, Ed said: “But he needed more than that,” however Ronnie didn’t believe what he was saying and interjected: “You’re a liar.
“You wanted to do it, you couldn’t resist. You promised me, you promised everyone that you wouldn’t gamble again!
“Now you will be at it again, I know how this works, you are an addict. I can’t trust you… I am going to call Aggie.”

Scared, Ed begged: “No! Ronnie please, look I know I was an idiot and I know I was wrong but Ronnie it will never happen again.”
Pausing, Ronnie asked: “How many times have you said that?” before Ed continued: “Ronnie please, this is different, it was just one bet.”
However, Ronnie continued to press the call button and hold the phone up to his ear, before the pair were interrupted by lawyer and Dee-Dee’s boyfriend Joel Deering (Calum Lill).
Despite the call being cut off, could this be a clue for Aggie’s return after months of being off-screen and away from Weatherfield?
Viewers have been concerned for Aggie’s whereabouts for months, with many commenting that she had disappeared into the “abyss”.
One viewer asked: “Where in the world has Aggie gone?”
A second tweeted: “Where is Glory, we haven’t seen her for months?? When Michael was sitting on the bench talking to Ed, who was looking after her??
“Also, where is Aggie? Both seem to have gone into the abyss!!”
Another Corrie fan replied: “As for Aggie, has Ed gambled her away?”
“Can someone please just check in on Aggie to make sure she is ok? Concerned that she barely even gets a mention anymore?” a fourth quipped. (sic)
