Celebs Go Dating fans demand Vanessa Feltz be removed after arrogant outburst

Alison gives Vanessa Celebs Go Dating advice

Viewers have taken to social media to demand that one of the celebrities taking part in the latest series of Celebs Go Dating be removed from the show.

Broadcaster and TV personality Vanessa Feltz joined the reality dating show after she split with her fiancé and long term partner, Ben Ofoedu, after discovering his infidelity earlier this year.

But her outburst in the latest episode of Celebs Go Dating has seen fans of the show ask for her removal from the celebrity dating agency.

Vanessa was enraged after being set up on a blind date with musician Jerome, who immediately reminded her of her ex.

And when the show’s relationship expert Paul Carrick Brunson took her aside to give her one of his signature pep talks, Vanessa was quick to turn on Paul.

A furious Vanessa complained: “This is an identikit of the relationship that I’ve just come out of. So this is a gentleman, charming, handsome, who is in a band. Who tours, so that’s the last thing I want is some itinerant, horny musician. I’ve had that.”

Upon being told that she was “closed off”, she snapped: “I am, and I don’t wish to be corrected on that.”

To this Paul replied: “But we’re not here to convince you to go back on your feelings. We’re just trying to dissect what we heard.”

Vanessa continued her angry tirade: “Well, it’s not hard to dissect as I’ve explained it clearly to you. You should understand me the first time I say it, because I’ve said it with the utmost clarity.”

While Paul did attempt to calm Vanessa down, she continued to speak over him instead of listening to his pleas and this led fans of the show to take to social media to share their thoughts on the interaction.

One viewer commented on Twitter: “Oh shush Vanessa, let Paul get a word in!”

A second demanded: “Chuck her out the agency.”

While a third wrote: “God, Vanessa’s just plain rude to anyone and everyone!”

A fourth fan concluded: “Vanessa going after Paul, she is so effin arrogant.”

However, some viewers did think that Vanessa had signed up to do the reality dating show far too soon after splitting with Ben, which had not given her enough time to come to terms with the end of her long term relationship.

A fan added on Twitter: “Vanessa is far too recently damaged to even be entertaining going on this show. she needs to step back and heal.”

While a second concurred: “Vanessa wasn’t ready to date so she shouldn’t have joined the show. But She’s desperate to be in a relationship.”

Other celebrities looking for love include Love Island’s Adam Collard, Lottie Moss, Spuddz, Made In Chelsea’s Mark-Francis Vandelli and Chloe Burrows.

Celebs Go Dating airs weekly on E4 and is available to stream on Channel 4.
