And now TV fashion guru Gok Wan has teamed up with Foxy Bingo to celebrate the UK’s first northern celebrity swap shop this weekend in Hull.
The funky Foxy Laundrette is set to put the nation in a spin as glam-hungry folk flock to donate their old clothes in return for new “Foxyfied” looks.
They’ll be able to get their hands on items inspired by the North’s foxiest fashion leaders, as well as pre-loved gear from the stars themselves.
Excitement is building for the opening of what promises to be the nation’s liveliest laundrette this week, as Foxy Bingo brings its party vibe to the offbeat location.
The launch comes as exclusive research by Foxy Bingo reveals that the North of England is the fearless fashion capital of Britain, knocking the reputation of London and the South as the bravest when it comes to style.
In the wake of London Fashion Week, its fascinating poll also found that the North is considered more bold and surprising than the South when it comes to clothes.
Now legendary fashionista Gok Wan is calling on readers to toast northern style knowhow and join the fun as he opens the pop-up shop on Friday, September 29.
With a whirl of fun activities, visitors will get the chance to refresh their wardrobes with items from northern stars.
As they channel their inner Foxyness and swap old garms for new charms, there is even the chance to bag outfits from celebrities including Sugababes’ Heidi Range, Alison Hammond, and even Gok himself, who you can meet between 12 and 1pm.
Plus, all the donated items will go to charity, so you can crank up the feel-good factor as you Get Your Fox On!
Foxy Laundrette will open its doors on Friday, September 29 (12-8pm) and Saturday, September 30 (10am-6pm) at 20-22 Anlaby Road, Hull HU1 2PA.
