Louise Redknapp, 48, coyly confirms romance with younger new boyfriend, 39
Louise Redknapp ‘couldn’t help but smile’ when discussing her new romance with aerospace CEO Drew Michael.
Doting mum Louise, 48, was spotted strolling through London with 39-year-old Drew earlier this week and has now addressed their blossoming romance head on.
‘It’s so difficult with your personal life… it’s all good,’ the hitmaker began.
She ‘coyly’ added to the Mirror: ‘Yeah, I’ve got nothing else to say on it, everything about it has already been written.’
Drew is the CEO of Overwatch Aerospace and formerly worked as a military officer.
Nowadays, he oversees the supply of war equipment to the British Army and Royal Marines, a far cry from Louise’s showbiz roots.
Louise confirmed in May that she’s ‘open’ to the idea of dating again.
The popstar was married to footballer Jamie Redknapp from 1998 until 2018 and they share sons Charley, 19, and 14-year-old Beau.
Louise and Jamie split in 2017 after 19 years of marriage, with Jamie going on to marry model Frida Andersson.
The couple welcomed baby Raphael, a half-brother to Charley and Beau, in 2021.
Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Louise told The Sunday Times four months ago: ‘People ask me about dating and although I wouldn’t say I ever go out actively looking, I’ve got an open heart for what the future may bring.’
More recently, Louise – who shot to fame as part of girl group Eternal and has since gone on to a successful career in music and on stage – enjoyed the ‘best holiday’ with her lookalike sons.
Last year, her eldest son moved to the US for college, with Louise admitting to Metro.co.uk she was ‘crying 10 times a day’ as she prepared to say goodbye.
Taking to Instagram last month, Louise said she had ‘the best summer holiday with my boys,’ alongside a snap of the family – with the teenagers now towering over their mother.
The sweet photo saw the mum-of-two pose with her sons on a golden beach in the evening with the sun beginning to set, surrounded by palm trees and sun loungers.
The end of the summer holidays is sure to feel bittersweet, with Charley set to return to America to continue his studies – and while Louise is, naturally, proud of her son, it’s also hard to say goodbye.
Metro.co.uk has reached out to Louise’s reps for comment.
