Eminem's Signed Pair of Air Jordan 4 "Encore" up for Auction
Sotheby’s is set to auction off one of the rarest releases of the Air Jordan 4 silhouette. One of the most sought-after additions to many collections is Eminem‘s “Encore” AJ4. The shoe was a collaboration between Eminem and Nike from back in 2005. The sneaker quickly became one of the more unique versions of the silhouette, arriving in a blue, red and black color scheme that saw an exclusive release that paid homage to the Detroit rapper’s Encore album. With only 50 pairs available to friends and family, one of those pairs signed by Eminem himself and in a size 10.5, has found its way to auction.
This particular edition lies is memorable for his distinctive design. Due to the limited number of releases, it is also scarce, making it a must-have for collectors. The shoe features blue synthetic nubuck uppers as well as black netting that is seen on the tongue and mid-panel. Black lacing commplements the “wings” and the Jumpman logo on the heel and tongue are adorned in red. Eminem has signed both shoe with a “2005” inscription on it, adding a personal touch about the release.”
Those interested can check out the shoe at Sotheby’s, now available for auction. Celebrated for its rarity and desirability, the shoe is estimated to hit between $40,000 to $60,000 USD. At the time of writing, the shoe’s current bid is $30,000 USD.
