Ellie Goulding 'reunites with husband Caspar Jopling' to be 'proper family unit'

Ellie Goulding has reportedly reunited with her husband Caspar Jopling.

The 36-year-old pop star, who had a scary recent onstage mishap with a Pyro, was said to be spending time apart from art dealer Caspar, 31.

Now the couple, who married in 2019, is apparently giving things another go following their alleged split in June.

‘She is determined to make things work with Caspar and is committed to giving things another go,’ an insider revealed.

Caspar and Ellie share a two-year-old son, Arthur, and it’s he who has inspired the reunion as Ellie is keen to remain ‘a proper family unit’.

They added to The Sun’s Bizarre column: ‘She knows it is the right thing to do for the sake of their young son because she wants them to be a proper family unit.

‘It has been an incredibly tough year for both Ellie and Caspar but they have had some very frank conversations and are both on the same page. There is a lot of love between them.’

The reunion is also allegedly off the back of Ellie stepping away from her friendship with Tory MP Zac Goldsmith, which neither of them has ever addressed publicly.

Ellie and Zac worked together a few times on their shared environmental interests after first meeting at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021.

In June it was claimed the couple, who tied the knot at York Minster after two years of dating, had been trying to keep their relationship troubles secret for the sake of Arthur, but had been living separate lives at that point for six months.

A source shared at that time: ‘Things have been bad for at least six months now, both parties have been really trying to be happy together for the sake of their son, but these things can only take so long before it is untenable.

‘Ellie’s team were insisting that she and Caspar were happy, that any suggestions of them being apart were totally untrue and now this. It has all been very mysterious indeed.’

The source added to The Daily Mail: ‘There had been suggestions of troubles and even a full on split for quite some time but they kept insisting everything is was totally fine.’

Amidst these reports however, the pair put on a united front together at the Serpentine Summer Party and have also been publicly supportive of each other.

Following Ellie’s rare double chart success with latest album Higher Than Heaven and single collaboration Miracle with Calvin Harris, she reigned supreme in the charts in April.

‘You’ve impressed me from the moment I met you .. but this is new level !!,’ wrote Caspar on Instagram, sharing his admiration of his wife.

‘A UK chart double .. simultaneous number 1 album and number 1 single (not even on the album!) .. you amaze me and challenge me every single day darls. Beyond proud right now.’
