Layton Williams wont cry if hes booted off Strictly as he still gets paid
Strictly: Layton Williams announces he’s joined the cast of 2023
Layton Williams stated he would not shed a tear if he had to bow out early of Strictly Come Dancing, as it would have no effect on him being paid for his participation.
It comes as the Billy Elliot star shared he was ready to “boogie to the gayest tunes” prompting a fiery Twitter user to question this decision.
Layton retweeted an article by Pink News in view of his 46,000 followers that read: “Layton Williams says he is ready to boogie to the ‘gayest’ tunes on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing – ‘Just queen after queen after queen’.
In response, one person typed: “And when he gets voted out he’ll cry saying it’s homophobia that made him get voted out.”
However, the Bad Education star immediately shot them down, as he hit back: “Won’t cry coz I still get paid tehe.” (sic)

Theatre actor, singer and dancer Layton is best known for his starring roles in several acclaimed West End productions, including Billy Elliot and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
In a new interview, Layton told Digital Spy: “It is the gayest, most girl pop group playlist you’ve ever heard in your life. Just Queen, after Queen, after Queen and icons — hopefully, they pick a couple of the songs I have chosen.
“But also, I do trust they know what they’re doing when it comes to the decisions. The producers, the team, they know what’s going to entertain. So I’m ready to go along for the ride.”
It comes as Layton, who is set to be paired with a man on Strictly, will wear unisex outfits while appearing on the show.

Sources have said BBC bosses are delighted over the news that the Bad Education star will be challenging gender stereotypes in his performances.
One said: “Layton made it clear very early on that he didn’t want to be pinned down to just wearing male costumes.
“He wanted his Strictly outfits to reflect different sides of his personality and everyone fully supports him on that.
“So he will have a chance to wear Strictly dresses, as well as the men’s sharp suits, when he performs. There are some really exciting looks in there. Layton can’t wait to get started.”

Layton told last year how taking on the lead role in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie helped him embrace his love of glamour.
He said: “I was looking at pictures of myself on the red carpet from the Jamie movie premiere and I thought, ‘Hmm, would I, as Layton, have felt comfortable wearing a gown to a premiere if I hadn’t explored my sense of self?’
“I’ve always wanted to rock the heels, the gowns, the dress… and now I just love it.”
