Kirstie Allsopp shares health update after horror fall left her bedridden

Kirstie Allsopp health update in Instagram video post

Kirstie Allsopp has given fans an update following her recent accident, revealing that a foam roller has “changed my life”.

The Channel 4 presenter had been forced to skip filming Location, Location, Location after a fall down some stairs in a pub left her “bruised and battered”.

Taking to Instagram to update her 328,000 followers on how she is getting on, the 52-year-old revealed that a foam roller – used to help relieve muscle tightness and soreness – has played a huge part in her recovery.

Captioning her post, which includes two videos of her praising the roller, she penned: “There is no filter which will make this better, in the second film I edited out my bum, but foam rollers make such a difference.

“I’m a huge convert, so in the name of my faith, once and only once, it’s me in leggings!”

In the opening video, Kirstie notes how the foam roller has changed her life, adding: “It’s absolutely brilliant and I want to explain to everyone why.”

“Nobody wants to see me in my exercise gear. In my mind, this would be, like, one of those Jennifer Garner videos, but obviously it’s not,” she said.

“But this foam roller has changed my life. Even in the last few days and weeks since my falling down the stairs, I have been using it and it’s absolutely brilliant.”

The second clip, which shows Kirstie in action, sees the presenter speak of its benefits – and she even promoted it for those who suffer from back pain.

“This may be the most unflattering film that has ever been caught of me on camera, but you have to sometimes be real,” she continued.

“This foam roller is everything and I just wish that everyone who has problems with their back could have one.”

Last month, Kirstie was forced to pull out of filming Location, Location, Location and was rushed to hospital after falling down a staircase in pub, during filming for the Channel 4 programme.

Taking to Instagram, Kirstie told her followers: “I should be out filming Location, Location, Location, except yesterday, when we were in a pub in Stoke Newington, filming our start of day chat with our lovely house hunters Beth and Rory, I went off to the loo.

“And unfortunately, I got something wrong and I ended up falling down an entire flight of stairs.”
