SALLY Nugent has revealed her 'favourite' Christmas moment as she enjoys some time off work.<\/p>\n

The beloved BBC Breakfast star, 52, has had a turbulent year after splitting from her husband.<\/p>\n

She was said to be 'devastated' following her marriage breakdown to businessman husband Gavin Hawthorn, 52, in May.<\/p>\n

But now the star is very much looking forward to Christmas and has shared her favourite moment from the festive period.<\/p>\n

Speaking ahead of her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing, Sal said: "I love Christmas eve, Christmas eve is my favourite day of the year!<\/p>\n

"I like the bit before the getting ready for the big day, I like doing all the food the night before.<\/p>\n

The journalist and anchor won't be making any New Year's resolutions but is instead planning a luxury holiday.<\/p>\n

Sally revealed: "I don\u2019t really make resolutions, but I am looking forward to the new year and a sunny holiday!<\/p>\n

"I\u2019m going to get away, get on a beach and get some sunshine and recharge \u2013 that\u2019s my New Years resolution \u2013 do that!"<\/p>\n

The Sun previously revealed how BBC Breakfast bosses Sally time off to compete in the Christmas special of Strictly.<\/p>\n

It's already been filmed with the winner being firmly kept under wraps by show bosses.<\/p>\n

Sally will take to ballroom alongside professional dance partner Graziano Di Prima.<\/p>\n

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special will air on Christmas Day at 4.40pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer<\/em>.<\/p>\n
