TV and movie producer Kevin Turen has died suddenly at the age of 44. <\/p>\n

Turen, who was an executive producer on HBO's hit show\u00a0Euphoria on all 18 of its episodes, passed away over the weekend.<\/p>\n

It comes just months after Euphoria star Angus Cloud died at the age of 25. <\/p>\n

Turen's father, Edward, confirmed his son's death and told Deadline: "Kevin was so incredibly special, this world is going to be less without him."<\/p>\n

Jay Penske, a close personal friend of Turen, described him as one of Hollywood's "brightest rising stars". <\/p>\n

"Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin\u2019s greatest passion was his family and friends," he said. <\/p>\n

His cause of death has not been released. <\/p>\n

As well as Euphoria, Turen produced Ti West's critically acclaimed slasher films X and Pearl and Pieces of a Woman – which won Vanessa Kirby an Academy Award nomination for best actress.<\/p>\n

He was also an executive producer on The Idol, the show starring Abel Tesfaye \u2013\u00a0otherwise known as The Weeknd \u2013\u00a0and Lily-Rose Depp.<\/p>\n

Born in New York City in 1979, he studied at Columbia University, graduating with a degree in English and Critical Film Studies.<\/p>\n

Turen made his producing debut on the indie film Wassup Rockers from director Larry Clark in 2005.<\/p>\n

He produced several feature films including Operation Endgame -written by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson.<\/p>\n

Turen's other credits include Arbitrage starring Richard Gere, All Is Lost starring Robert Redford, and two more Levinson movies -Assassination Nation and Malcolm & Marie.<\/p>\n

He most recently worked on the Nicolas Cage and Pedro<\/span> Pascal film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, along with HBO's Euphoria and The Idol.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Euphoria actor Angus Cloud – who played Fez in the hit show – died in July at his family's home in Oakland, California.<\/p>\n

His cause of death was confirmed as an accidental overdose. <\/p>\n

The\u00a0Netflix\u00a0star had buried his father one week before and "struggled intensely" with the loss of his "best friend".<\/p>\n

The\u00a0actor's family\u00a0said at the time: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today.<\/p>\n

"As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways."<\/p>\n

Following the TV star's death, a mural was painted in Oakland in his honour, and a candlelight vigil was held.<\/p>\n
