EastEnders\u2019 bad boy Dean Wicks has made his return to Walford tonight, and actor Matt Di Angelo is already teasing his involvement in the upcoming Christmas murder. <\/p>\n

Fans will recall that Dean left the Square in 2016 after his family disowned him after finding out that he raped Linda Carter.<\/p>\n

However, he is back and ready to cause some drama, as he is the Beales\u2019 new business partner, investing in Ian and Cindy Beale\u2019s pie and mash business.<\/p>\n

Dean\u2019s return aired on Monday, 30 October, in some dramatic scenes \u2013 but 36 year old Matt has said that Dean \u201cdoesn\u2019t want\u201d to be back in Walford.<\/p>\n

Speaking about what fans can expect, Matt said: \u201cIn all honesty, he doesn\u2019t want to come back to Walford.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s sort of forced back there because his daughter, Jade, is very ill. She has cystic fibrosis and needs a transplant, which has to be done at the hospital nearby. Dean has to live there so he\u2019s on call for her appointments and in case the transplant comes through, and they need to move fast.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s reluctant because he knows the repercussions of returning, but ultimately, he has to help his family. Dean also needs to make a living whilst he\u2019s there, so he\u2019s invested in a new business, which will be revealed as Cindy and Ian\u2019s new pie and mash shop, Beale\u2019s Eels.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many fans have been speculating that Dean could be the body that is on the floor of the Queen Vic on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

Fans will remember that the soap aired a special flash forward episode earlier this year from Christmas Day which saw Linda Carter, Sharon Watts, Denise Fox, Stacey Slater, Kathy Cotton and Suki Panesar standing over a dead body.<\/p>\n

Since then, viewers have been speculating about who the body could be and Dean has been one of the characters who has been mentioned throughout.<\/p>\n

Speaking about whether Dean will be involved in the highly-anticipated episode, Matt said: \u201cWe know that Linda is involved in the Christmas storyline, and we also know that most people in the Square would like to see the back of Dean. But everyone is going to have to wait to find out if Dean\u2019s the body on The Vic floor because I\u2019m not giving away any clues!\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking at the future for Dean\u2019s character, Matt said: \u201cDean is back in Walford to help his daughter Jade but to do that, he needs to make a living and be part of the community. I think the biggest challenge is going to be facing the residents of Walford, as everyone has very strong opinions on Dean, and rightly so.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
