She was once the cruelly mocked for her mismatched looks and garish fascinators.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But, Princess Beatrice has completely undergone a transformation trading her awkward looks for sleek dresses and designer gear in recent years.<\/p>\n
Since marrying\u00a0Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi,\u00a0\u00a0the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson has become much more refined in her sartorial choices, with Vampire\u2019s Wife, Self Portrait, Monique Lhuillier and Emilia Wickstead now among her go-to designers.<\/p>\n
A very well-dressed man himself, Edo is often seen in three-piece suits while he undergoes business and stumbles into Mayfair clubs.<\/p>\n
And in keeping up with his impeccably tailored looks, Beatrice may well be looking to Edo’s ex-fiancee Dara Huang for inspiration.<\/p>\n
The very glamorous architect – and influencer – often shares her looks to Instagram.<\/p>\n

Recent photos show her lounging in a sequin gold ballgown on a gondola in Venice, in another she’s in a white floorlength piece in Miami Beach, while in a third she sports a silver mini cocktail dress in Istanbul.<\/p>\n
And on some occasions, both Beatrice and Dara have dressed very similarly, despite their general differences in styles.<\/p>\n
While Dara loves high hemlines and crop tops, the pair have matched in black printed dresses, bold pink look and autumnal trench coats.<\/p>\n
Beatrice also sported a denim romper to Glastonbury festival last year, Dara sported a similar number while filming in Scotland.<\/p>\n
The pair for have a penchant for pinks and purples, albeit in different cuts and styles.<\/p>\n
Beatrice’s more sophisticated looks come as she hired Olivia Buckingham, who also advises Poppy Delevingne and Nicky Hilton.<\/p>\n
Since\u00a0turning 30 five years ago,\u00a0Princess Beatrice has gradually found a fashion formula of her own and is now widely praised for her elegant yet flattering outfits.<\/p>\n
\u2018I like to push my clients\u2019 boundaries but also stick to their authentic codes,\u2019 Olivia says.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t want it to be one-sided, what I enjoy is giving them creative freedom, then we meet in the middle and come up with a magical look.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Buckingham explains that she and Beatrice formed a styling relationship out of friendship.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018The whole process is collaborative when it comes down to choosing the final look,’ she says.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘We discuss the event and what type of style would work even down to the finer details like jewellery and shoes.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u2018I know that we both believe that if a woman can feel empowered and confident by clothes then that\u2019s what they should be used for.\u2019<\/p>\n
One of her most memorable – and admired – fashion ‘moments’ came on her wedding day,\u00a0 17 July 2020,\u00a0 when she wore a vintage dress by Norman Hartnell lent by her grandmother Queen Elizabeth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For the state banquet following Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif’s wedding in Jordan, the mother-of-one wore a satin gown with an embellished bodice by Reem Acra<\/p>\n
Buckingham has also helped the princess widen her horizons. A touch of couture has been added to the mix, as seen at the recent Jordanian royal wedding when she was a vision in\u00a0 floor-length Reem Acra.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Beatrice has\u00a0 shelved the\u00a0unusual colours and quirky headpieces – which all-too-often had a touch of the pantomime dame about them – for a more streamlined approach.<\/p>\n
Gone are the overly fussy – and strangely quirky – outfits and, of course, those hats.<\/p>\n
Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie recently said the pair look back at ‘terrible photos’ of themselves and laugh.<\/p>\n
‘There’s been terrible ugly shots of us coming out of bars,’ she told the White Wine Question Time podcast.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘People come up to me and say “you’re much better looking in real life”.<\/p>\n
‘Beatrice and I, like many of our cousins, have had a really awkward phases. I’m proud of my incredibly strange looks.’<\/p>\n

The Philip Treacy hat Princess Beatrice wore to the royal wedding in 2011 became one of the day’s most discussed, and remembered sartorial moments of William and Kate’s wedding<\/p>\n

Showing she loved eccentric headpieces from a young age, Beatrice was only 16 when she wore this extravagant hat to the Christmas Day church service at Sandringham in 2005 (left). At Royal Ascot, she was elegantly dressed in florals for a day at the races, Beatrice\u2019s long-sleeved lace midi dress by Monique Lhuillier featured a white lace overlay with intricate violet and yellow flowers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A JBH Millinery hat adorned her pulled back hair and she carried an Anya Hindmarch clutch. The combination of the romantic frock with structural accessories gave a chic and modern ensemble.<\/p>\n
Dara is the daughter of a businesswoman and a retired NASA scientist who immigrated to the US from Taiwan, she was granted British citizenship in January 2022.<\/p>\n
While Edo is descended from Italian nobility, he was born in London and is a British citizen. Their son Christopher Woolf – who goes by Wolfie, was also born in the UK.<\/p>\n
Dara split with Edoardo in 2018. They share custody of the seven-year-old and Beatrice is said to have grown close to him, with Sarah Ferguson saying she considers him a grandson.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Dara and Edoardo wed in July 2020 and they had their daughter Sienna Elizabeth in September 2021.<\/p>\n
