Michelle Heaton has seemingly slammed Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, calling one aspect of the Channel 4 show 'unfair'.

The former Liberty X star, 44, has spoken out after the female contestants on the show were forced to carry the same 20kg rucksacks as the male contestants.

The celebrity group, including former UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock and ex-TOWIE star James Argent, travelled to Thung Ui, north Vietnam to face one of the toughest challenges of their lives.

But, during the filming of the show, Michelle and Fort Boyard presenter Melinda Messenger, 52, struggled with the weight of the rucksacks they had to carry – leading them to be dumped from the show.

Now, Michelle has opened up about her time on the programme, as she told The Mirror: "I think that there should have been maybe a weight to what you carry ratio. I'm 50kg, Melinda was probably less, and you stand with a guy who's over 120kg of pure muscle'.

"It does make a difference in what you're able and capable to do, because the tasks at hand are with that weight on top of you. I do think that if I was making the rules, I would maybe take that into consideration.

"It’s not about giving women or men special treatment, it’s about seeing the ratio of what you actually weigh to what your body could withstand. There shouldn’t be any cotton wool around us.”

Michelle and Melinda were made to leave the show after instructor Mark 'Billy' Billington branded them 'the weakest members of the group'.

On Sunday, 8 October, Michelle shared a shocking picture to Instagram in which her eye could be seen swollen.

She wrote: "TRIGGER WARNING ‼️ This is called “swamp eye”

"A year ago after returning from #saswhodareswins parasite’s found in extreme dirty water from the jungle, decided to return in my eye with me.

"They lived in there & found their new home for over 3 months. Unable to see properly. To this day my vision is still slightly blurred in my right eye.

"I remember going straight into #dancingonice training with a patch on – almost until the live shows .

"People often comment on why I have a “wonky eye” – now you know ! #bekind

"Tune into @sas_whodareswins tonight 9pm @channel4 to see if it was all worth it ! #myjunglehell".

The Channel 4 series has already seen TOWIE star James Argent and MP Matt Hancock break down in floods of tears as the stars prove they have what it takes to make the Special Forces. Boy band singer Siva Kaneswaran also told how he has sought therapy after suffering from "aggression" and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder caused by taking part.

Love Island's Teddy Soares and Montana Brown, singer Gareth Gates and footballer Jermaine Pennant are among other famous faces who've been forced to abandon their glamorous lifestyles as they attempt to survive the most unforgiving jungle in the world in Thung Ui, North Vietnam.
