Following the release of her second studio album, Falling Or Flying<\/em>, Walsall-born singer Jorja Smith has just taken to BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge as part of the station’s “Live Lounge Month” series.<\/p>\n

Choosing to cover Harry Styles’ hit record “As It Was” for her performance — the lead single from Styles’ third full-length LP, Harry’s House<\/em> — Smith said: “I keep hearing it. I find it hard sometimes to do a cover — it needs to be a song that I know even though I’ve definitely got the lyrics in front of me. But this one I’ve been hearing a lot and I thought, ‘Oh, this will be really nice.’ It’s a bit more toned down…”<\/p>\n

Smith and her live band then delivered a stripped-back and soulful rendition of “As It Was,” before performing her two-step-worthy 2022 single, “Little Things.”<\/p>\n
