Jorja Smith‘s sophomore studio effort, falling or flying<\/em>, is here.<\/p>\n

Clocking in at approximately 45 minutes, the 16-track album features guest verses from J Hus on “Feelings” and\u00a0Lila Ik\u00e9 on “Greatest Gift” and hears Smith dive into the duality of her self-confidence and insecurity. Her work with production duo DAMEDAME* delivered a variety of sounds for the record, ranging from R&B to UKF and even alternative, but through it all she remains very much in control \u2014 kind of like how she’s in control of herself regardless of whether she’s feeling her best or feeling her lowest.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like making the album brought me back home,\u201d she said in a statement. \u201cWhere you\u2019re from is where you get your powers, and that\u2019s why I\u2019m so grateful I could make this with DAMEDAME* \u2013 they still have their roots in the ground from back home. And we had so much fun making this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like this world that I’ve just come into. And I\u2019m still figuring things out. Always figuring things out,\u201d Smith added. \u201cThis is the first time I\u2019m putting stuff out there that I can connect with right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
