Les Dennis says he’s having the ‘best time’ despite age<\/h3>\n

Strictly Come Dancing\u2019s Les Dennis has revealed he\u2019s having a great time taking part in the BBC show following his first performance.<\/p>\n

Last Saturday, the 15 celebrities took to the dancefloor for the first time with their professional partners.<\/p>\n

One of which included presenter and actor Les and Nancy Xu who danced the Tango to the song Don\u2019t You Want Me?<\/p>\n

Although they found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard, scoring 16 in total from the judges, Les seemed to impress the audience who erupted into cheers and applause when he\u2019d finished.<\/p>\n

Speaking about his routine on Thursday night\u2019s instalment of It Takes Two with host Janette Manrara, he revealed how much he\u2019s enjoying the process.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Janette said: \u201cNever mind survey says, the audience said it all with the applause after you performed! How did that reaction make you feel?\u201d<\/p>\n

He replied: \u201cI loved it. I mean, I\u2019ve done a lot of shows but this was just the most exciting thing to do. We had fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Agreeing, Nancy told the host they enjoyed playing the characters they created for their routine.<\/p>\n

She revealed: \u201cTo be honest, that night when he gave me that face and he gave me that attitude, I was like, \u2018This is everything I\u2019m asking for.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Commenting on Les\u2019 showbiz career, which has spanned across six decades, Janetre highlighted that dancing is a whole different level of intensity.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cTotally, it\u2019s well out of my comfort zone but I\u2019m just having the best time.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt my age, to learn something new is so exciting to have to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Although he\u2019s currently bottom of the leaderboard, all could change this weekend as the celebrities’ scores from their second dances will be added to week one\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Storming ahead with a total of 32 is Casualty actor Nigel Harman and Katya Jones who stole the show with their Pasa Doble.<\/p>\n

However, close behind in joint second with scores of 29 are Amanda Abbington, Bobby Brazier, Ellie Leach and Layton Williams.<\/p>\n

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6.20pm.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
