It didn’t take long for Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) to go back to her old, adulterous ways in EastEnders, and we can’t say we’re surprised.

Cindy was never a one man woman, and it seems that coming back from the dead has done nothing to change that.

In recent scenes, Cindy discovered that ex-hubby George Knight (Colin Salmon) had found a buyer for their Marbella bar, and the pound signs were instantly flashing in her brain.

Since returning to Albert Square, Cindy has made it her mission to lay down roots and start up her own business, in order to win back estranged daughters Gina and Anna (Francesca Henry and Molly Rainford).

The one thing standing in her way has been a lack of funds, so hearing about the sale of the bar was like music to her ears.

After announcing to George and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) that she wanted her half of the sale, the Queen Vic owners invited her and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) round for a business lunch, where we were treated to a number of snide comments being exchanged between Cindy and Elaine.

During the meal, Cindy made a big deal about wanting to move forward with her life, instead of clinging onto the past, which raised suspicions for George.

Pulling her aside, he questioned her motives for making such a big song and dance, only to be shocked when Cindy revealed that she suspected he was holding onto her money because he couldn’t bring himself to let go of Rose.

Intent on proving her wrong, George agreed to let her have her half of the money, and satisfied Cindy and Ian left.

Although, it wasn’t long before Cindy was returning to the pub, claiming to have left her phone behind.

Poor Ian was left concerned about what she may be up to when he found her phone inside her bag, and he was right to be worried.

Back at the Queen Vic, George admitted that he still loved Rose, and she had always been the woman for him. He sadly pointed out that that didn’t matter anymore, seeing as she was so determined to be Cindy, but Cindy was keen to prove him wrong.

She leant in to kiss him, and he reciprocated, just long enough for horrified Gina to see.

However, it soon became clear that George’s performance was all an act, as he pointed out that her true colours had shone through and she was never going to change.

He revealed that it didn’t matter whether she was Rose or Cindy, and they were both ‘trash’.

It is clear that there is no love lost between this pair now, but that’s not what Gina believes.

Will she keep what she saw to herself, or is it all set to blow up dramatically?
