My Mum, Your Dad star Taiya has announced the birth of her baby girl. <\/p>\n

The 21 year old student, who nominated her mum Monique to appear on the Davina McCall fronted ITV dating show for single parents, confirmed the little one\u2019s arrival with a sweet message that described the newborn as being \u2018more than I could have ever imagined\u2019. Taiya also revealed she had called her daughter Alora – a name that means \u201cGod is Light\u2019 or \u2018My Dream\u2019 – and added the baby weighed 6.1lbs when she was born. <\/p>\n

Announcing the news on Instagram with a short video of the baby\u2019s feet and an image of her pre-birth cradling her bump, Taiya wrote: \u201cTo my Alora, I love you in a way I didn\u2019t think existed until I held you in my arms. You are more than I could have ever imagined.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou make me feel so whole & fill my heart with so much love & happiness\u2026I promise to be everything you need & more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taiya\u2019s followers flooded the comments section with messages of love in response to the post. \u201cSo cute,\u201d one wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is so sweet,\u201d said another. A third added: \u201cBeautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of appearing on My Mum, Your Dad, Taiya explained her reasons for nominating her 50 year old mother for the show. She said: "My mum put everything aside to raise me and my sister. It\u2019s her time. I tell her not to be so fussy, it\u2019s not realistic."<\/p>\n

Therapist Monique told ITV before appearing on the show that she was hoping to meet someone handsome, tall and who made her heart flutter. Explaining her dating history, she added she found it hard to read people.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn a date I\u2019m very honest and that can be quite offensive,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

But she said she liked to give everyone a chance – even if she felt it wasn\u2019t quite right. "I'm the eternal optimist when it comes to meeting somebody," she added.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, My Mum, Your Dad viewers were left begging Monique not to ditch Martin H in favour of Martin M, a self-proclaimed flirt and cheeky chappy. On Monday\u2019s show, Monique explained that despite initially having a connection with Martin H, she couldn't pretend she wasn't more drawn to the tall blonde Martin M. <\/p>\n

Martin H's daughter Jess could not hide her upset over the twist and she ended up bursting into tears. As the other grown-up children tried to console her, Jess explained she knew how much pain and heartbreak her dad had been through in the past and it was hard to watch Monique pass him by.<\/p>\n

As Jess continued to struggle with Monique's decision, Martin H shared his fears with some of the other hopefuls in garden of the Retreat, as he wondered how his journey was going to continue. Eventually, Monique took Martin H for a chat as she explained that she had more chemistry with Martin M.<\/p>\n

"Can't be sacking off Martin H Monique, he's the one it's simple as that," one fan wrote on Twitter. Another added. "Awww poor Martin H hope Monique sees sense!!"<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
