LOVE Island fans were left shocked after Whitney Adebayo described villa pals Tyrique Hyde and Ella Thomas's relationship as "toxic".<\/p>\n

In a new episode of Truth or Drink with Adeola Patronne, Whitney revealed the Love Island final played out exactly how she expected.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

Molly and Zach finished fourth, Ella and Ty came third, Whitney and Lochan came second and Jess and Sammy won the \u00a350,000 cash prize.<\/p>\n

Explaining why she didn't think Ty and Ella would be crowned champions, she said: "Ella and Ty. No shade. Obviously they're a good couple, but I think the perception they got was toxic."<\/p>\n

Whitney believed the show was too fixated on showing their drama rather than their more loving moments.<\/p>\n

She continued: "I was like 'no, toxic love can't win'."<\/p>\n

The honest assessment wasn't welcomed by many members of a Love Island fan forum.<\/p>\n

One person commented: "Now with her comment about Ty and Ella, she was smart with it or tried to be smart with it. You cannot watch and listen to that and think she wasn\u2019t being shady about her so-called bestie\u2019s relationship."<\/p>\n

Another wondered why Whitney didn't criticise other couples who had also had 'toxic' moments.<\/p>\n

They said: "Even though I agree Ty and Ella were perceived as toxic and of course we don\u2019t want toxic\/struggle love to be glamourised but why did she not think Jess and Sammy would be perceived as toxic? Islanders came out and spoke about their unaired arguments and we all saw how Sammy spoke about Jess and treated her until he closed it off."<\/p>\n
