A WOMAN has revealed that she splashed all her money on her house deposit, so had to do the bathroom transformation herself to save some cash.<\/strong><\/p>\n Alice Rose Buttery explained that her new build bathroom needed a makeover, so she and her partner got to work.<\/p>\n Sharing the bathroom\u2019s overhaul online, Alice posted her clip on social media and noted: \u201cPOV: You spend all your money on your deposit so you decide to DIY the tiling in your new build.\u201d<\/p>\n At the start of the video, we saw Alice\u2019s plain bathroom, which was in desperate need of some love (and new flooring).<\/p>\n Alice shared her clip with the caption: \u201cTiling our flooring ourselves for the first time.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWe DIYed the floor tiles in our utility room and downstairs toilet to save [money] and I think it turned out pretty well!\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIt was definitely easier than I was expecting once we got the hang of it!\u2019<\/p>\n She then explained: \u201cWe sourced these tiles a few weeks before we moved in so we were ready to go once we got the keys.<\/p>\n \u201cLoved this Victorian style to add something different to our empty shell.<\/p>\n \u201cHeaded to Screwfix and picked up everything we needed from adhesive and grout to a notched trowel.<\/p>\n <\/picture>BRAND DEAL <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/picture>HELPING HAND <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/picture>GOING down <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/picture>SUPER BLOW <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAs complete beginners, we relied on YouTube tutorials and basically winged it.\u201d<\/p>\n Alice then shared a step-by-step of the process, as she explained: \u201cNot to future self, quick setting adhesive means you need to move fast.<\/p>\n \u201cWe did this after work so it took us a couple of evenings to get the first room done.<\/p>\n \u201cBlack grout was definitely a scary step as I thought it might stick to the tiles.<\/p>\n \u201cIt took a lot of wipes with the sponge to get clean.\u201d<\/p>\n Once the bathroom was done, Alice then showed off the stunning result and continued: \u201cRepeated into the utility room next door to our W\/C so the two spaces felt cohesive.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cA lick of paint to finish the rooms and this is the final result – not perfect but we\u2019re chuffed with our first try at tiling.\u201d<\/p>\n Alice proudly shared a close-up look at her bathroom, which had been given a totally new lease of life, whilst on a budget.\u00a0<\/p>\n The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @alicerosebuttery, has clearly left many very impressed, as it has quickly amassed 34,600 views in just one day.\u00a0<\/p>\n Social media users were left stunned at the DIY job and many took to the comments to share this.\u00a0<\/p>\n One person said: \u201cFab job!\u201d<\/p>\n Another added: \u201cGorgeous!!!\u201d<\/p>\n A third commented: \u201cGreat job! It looks amazing.
