Elon Musk\u2019s new biography claims that he and Amber Heard\u2019s whirlwind relationship was a \u2018dark vortex\u2019 with lingering pain to this day.<\/p>\n
The 52-year-old shared he was seeing the Aquaman star in April 2017 after her public split from Johnny Depp, 60, which resulted in a massive legal battle.<\/p>\n
They dated on-and-off for a year until they parted ways for good in 2018, when he confirmed a relationship with musician Grimes, 35, with whom he has three children.<\/p>\n
Musk is rumoured to have been pursuing Heard, 37, since 2013 when she appeared in Machete Kills but their relationship ended up being \u2018brutal\u2019.<\/p>\n
Biography writer Walter Isaacson claims the Tesla CEO was drawn \u2018into a dark vortex\u2019 around the time they made things official.<\/p>\n
He added: \u2018That lasted more than a year and produced a deep-seated pain that lingers to this day.\u2019<\/p>\n

According to The Los Angeles Times, Isaacson further claimed that Musk\u2019s \u2018brother and friends hated her with a passion\u2019 and described it as a \u2018hellacious\u2019 period.<\/p>\n
They apparently met in 2014, when Heard went to SpaceX for a tour and was given a private drive in the founder\u2019s Tesla.<\/p>\n
The Magic Mike XXL actress was reportedly fascinated by the tech mogul, and told the biography writer: \u2018I guess I could be called a geek for someone who can also be called a hot chick.\u2019<\/p>\n
During their relationship, Musk is said to have flown out to Australia to visit Heard while she filmed the DC hero film.<\/p>\n
In a more intimate story, Heard ordered a costume to \u2018roleplay\u2019 as an Overwatch character which the Twitter owner said she looked like.<\/p>\n
Things weren\u2019t all good though as the couple apparently had a major argument while on a trip to South America with the family in late 2017. <\/p>\n

She admitted that there was an argument but shared pictures and videos of the pair all loved up as they had a New Year\u2019s kiss.<\/p>\n
Heard had divorced Depp the year before, citing domestic abuse as a reason for the split and gaining a restraining order.<\/p>\n
This began a series of legal trials, the first of which saw Depp sue The Sun Newspaper and it\u2019s parent company for calling him a \u2018wife beater\u2019 but lost as \u2018the great majority of alleged assaults had been proved to the civil standard\u2019.<\/p>\n
Following this case, Depp sued Heard for defamation following her article in the Washington Post titled I spoke up against sexual violence \u2014 and faced our culture\u2019s wrath. That has to change.<\/p>\n
Depp alleged that Heard abused him instead and her claims had been a \u2018hoax\u2019, this trial was highly publicised with a messy fallout, impacting both actor\u2019s careers.<\/p>\n

Eventually, in 2022, the case was settled after a verdict in Depp\u2019s favour which Heard argued was unfair due to the public perception of them both.<\/p>\n
Kimbal Musk, Elon\u2019s brother, said his brother \u2018falls in love with these people who are really mean to him\u2019, calling it \u2018very sad\u2019.<\/p>\n
The chef added: \u2018They\u2019re beautiful, no question, but they have a very dark side and Elon knows that they\u2019re toxic.\u2019<\/p>\n
Isaacson claims that the SpaceX founder admitted the relationship \u2018was brutal\u2019 while Heard confessed she still loves him \u2018very much\u2019.<\/p>\n
The Danish Girl actress added: \u2018Elon loves fire, and sometimes it burns him.\u2019<\/p>\n
Aware of his own downfalls, Musk said: \u2018I\u2019m just a fool for love. I am often a fool, but especially for love.\u2019<\/p>\n
