<\/p>\nUS ROCK legends have been forced to postpone their tour on doctor\u2019s order.<\/p>\n
Aerosmith have postponed six of their Peace Out: The Farewell Tour dates amid the lead singer\u2019s health battle.<\/p>\n

The group shared on Instagram that their shows in Toronto, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Raleigh and Washington D.C. were having to be postponed.<\/p>\n
The dates take place from September 12 through to September 27, but they\u2019ve been pushed back to early 2024 instead.<\/p>\n
Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler wrote to the band\u2019s three million followers: \u201cTo all our fans\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor\u2019s orders not to sing for the next<\/span> thirty days.<\/p>\n \u201cI sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday\u2019s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We\u2019ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n The group added: \u201cAll previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend.<\/p>\n \u201cFans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase.\u201d<\/p>\n Aerosmith headed into retirement with their farewell tour this year.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Announcing the tour, the\u00a0group\u00a0said that they will embark on a\u00a040-date North American tour\u00a0with The Black Crowes as special guests.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not goodbye it\u2019s PEACE OUT!,\u201d Aerosmith said in a joint statement. \u201cGet ready and walk this way, you\u2019re going to get the best show of our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s not the first time they\u2019ve had to postpone a tour.<\/p>\n Aerosmith was set to begin their Park MGM's\u00a0Las Vegas residency\u00a0in June 2022.<\/p>\n But due to Tyler's absence from the band at the time, the group officially announced that they have canceled the dates for June and July of the shows.<\/p>\n Tyler had reportedly "worked on his sobriety for many years" but relapsed, according to\u00a0a tweet from the band at the time of their 2022 cancellation.<\/p>\n The Twitter statement read: "As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years.<\/p>\n "After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery."<\/p>\n Aerosmith\u00a0has performed on some of the biggest stages throughout their 50-year career.<\/p>\n The group has gone on 10 world tours and has sold more than 150 million records worldwide.<\/p>\n Aerosmith was inducted into the Rock \u2018N Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.<\/p>\n The band has six American Music Awards and ten MTV Video Music Awards.<\/p>\n In 2013, Tyler and Perry were inducted into the\u00a0Songwriters Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n Aerosmith has performed at the Super Bowl Half-Time Show and even has a ride in Disney World Florida and Disneyland Paris focused around them.<\/p>\nRead More on Aerosmith<\/span><\/h2>\n
