Bruce Springsteen has been left \u2018heartbroken\u2019 after having to postpone all his September tour dates due to health issues.<\/p>\n
The 73-year-old has been advised by medics to take a break from performing as he undergoes treatment for \u2018symptoms of peptic ulcer disease.\u2019<\/p>\n
A statement posted on the Born to Run singer\u2019s social media said: \u2018Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023, beginning with tomorrow\u2019s show scheduled for the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, NY.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018Mr Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease and the decision of his medical advisors is that he should postpone the remainder of his September shows.\u2019<\/p>\n
According to the Mayo Clinic, peptic ulcers are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine.<\/p>\n
The Born In The USA musician said in a comment that he was \u2018heartbroken\u2019 to have to postpone the shows, which had been taking place at various venues in the Northeast and in Ohio.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u2018First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We\u2019ll be back to pick these shows up and then some.\u2019<\/p>\n

It comes after Bruce had to postpone two dates in Philadelphia in August after being \u2018taken ill\u2019 and several gigs in March due to illness.<\/p>\n
