Much like the rest of the UK, Jonnie Irwin celebrated a summer first on Sunday \u2013 some sunshine.<\/p>\n
The former A Place In The Sun presenter, 49, commented on the particularly grey summer Britain\u2019s had this year, raving in a new social media post about the fact the \u2018sun is out at last\u2019.<\/p>\n
Plenty of the doting dad\u2019s 212,000 Instagram followers took to the comment section to say the same thing about Jonnie\u2019s newest photo, noting that the TV star \u2018looked amazing\u2019.<\/p>\n
Dad-of-three Jonnie announced in November he could only have \u2018months to live\u2019 after lung cancer spread to his brain and\u00a0became terminal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Jonnie had clearly caught the sun in his latest snap, which he captioned: \u2018Sun is out at last so we can finally enjoy our @armadillosun bean bags. Aaaand relax\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n One person wrote beneath his photo: \u2018It\u2019s lovely to see him looking well,\u2019 while another Instagrammer added, \u2018You are looking amazing. I mean\u2026 you always look good. But in recent days you have looked happy and energised.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018Such an inspiration, you really look good at the moment, I hope you\u2019re feeling good too,\u2019 another person wrote.<\/p>\n Other comments included: \u2018Looking mighty good Jonnie\u2019 and \u2018Looking good, Jonnie! Enjoy the sun and beanbags.\u2019<\/p>\n Earlier this weekend, Jonnie \u2013 who shares sons Rex, four, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac with <\/strong>his wife Jessica Holmes \u2013 enjoyed an evening out on the red carpet.<\/p>\n Alongside his former Escape to the Country colleague Nicki Chapman, Jonnie made an appearance at Saturday night\u2019s First Time Buyer Magazine Awards.<\/p>\n The evening saw the \u2018prestigious\u2019 Jonnie Irwin Legacy Award being honoured to SO Resi Education for their work in teaching the next generation of first-time buyers about how to get on the property ladder.<\/p>\n Speaking fondly of the evening, Jonnie said: \u2018Congratulations to all the winners at the @firsttimebuyermag Awards yesterday there was some very impressive winners and runners up.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018We also raised an incredible amount of money for our nominated charity @stoswaldsuk with a couple of super generous individual bids- you know who you are and thankyou so much,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n \u2018Well done to Lynda Clarke and all of the team and props to the legend @nickichappers for another sterling job as ever. X\u2019<\/p>\n Nicki commented on Jonnie\u2019s post with a similar sentiment, writing: \u2018A brilliant day & room full of incredible people helping first time buyers get on that property ladder!<\/p>\n \u2018We all know how tough that can be \u2013 especially at the moment.
