Florence Welch has revealed that she has had life-saving surgery, six days after cancelling a series of gigs.<\/p>\n
The Florence and The Machine frontwoman, 36, took to Instagram on Sunday where she uploaded a post explaining to fans why she had to pull out of the shows.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Florence admitted that she is ‘not yet strong enough’ to detail her ordeal, but assured her followers that she would be back performing in Portugal on September 1.<\/p>\n
The You’ve Got The Love hitmaker cryptically added that she wished the songs she has been performing on her Dance Fever tour ‘were less accurate in their prediction.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
Six days ago, Florence revealed that, ‘on medical advice’ Florence and The Machine would no longer be performing at Zurich Open Air Festival and Rock en Seine.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Concerning: Florence admitted that she is ‘not yet strong enough’ to detail her ordeal, but assured her followers that she would be back performing in Portugal on September 1<\/p>\n
In her latest post, Florence penned: ‘I’m so sorry that I had to cancel the last couple of shows. My feet are fine, I had to have emergency surgery for reasons I don’t really feel strong enough to go into yet, but it saved my life.<\/p>\n
‘And I will be back to close out the Dance Fever tour in Lisbon and Malaga (maybe not jumping so much but you can do that for me).<\/p>\n
‘Suffice to say I wish the songs were less accurate in their predictions. But creativity is a way of coping, mythology is way of making sense.<\/p>\n
‘And the dark fairytale of Dave Fever, with all its strange prophecies, will provide me with much needed strength and catharsis right now.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
It comes six days after she took\u00a0to Instagram to reveal that the band would no longer be performing at Zurich Open Air Festival and Rock en Seine.<\/p>\n
She share a story which read: ‘Sadly on medical advice, Florence + The Machine will not be able to perform this weekend at Zurich Open Air Festival on 25 Aug and Rock En Seine on 256 Aug. We appreciate your understanding and patience’.<\/p>\n
In November, Florence admitted she was ‘heartbroken’ as she postponed her Dance Fever tour after breaking her foot during a performance at London’s O2 Arena.<\/p>\n
The singer said at the time: ‘I’m so sorry to say that after an X ray it seems I was dancing on a broken foot last night.<\/p>\n

Speaking out: At the time, the singer took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to break the news to her fans<\/p>\n
‘It is not in my nature to postpone a show, and certainly not a UK tour, but I’m in pain and as dancers know, dancing on an injury is not a good idea. And have been told not to perform to avoid further damage.<\/p>\n
‘Please hang on to your tickets. We are working our hardest to reschedule these dates for next year and we will let you know as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
‘I’m heartbroken as the Dance Fever tour has been my favourite show we have ever put on. The communion with you. Your beautiful faces shining.<\/p>\n
‘I love you so much, and I’m so sorry to anyone who is disappointed. My heart is aching.<\/p>\n
‘I can’t wait to be back on my feet and back in your arms.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
