Winter Love Island cast one year later from explosive splits to marriage rumours
Winter Love Island 2020 was the last time fans of the ITV2 got a chance to escape from the humdrum of the British weather as they tuned into nearly two months of sun-soaked South African fun and romance in the new villa.
Hitting our screens at the beginning of the year, there were plenty of fan-favourites and dramatic recouplings in the notorious Casa Amor.
Fans quickly fell in love with the growing romances between Paige Turley and Finn Tapp and fellow couple Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge.
But there’s been three lockdowns and a global pandemic since the show ended, so are the couples still together?
Below, Daily Star takes a look at where the stars of Winter Love Island are today.
Paige Turley and Finn Tapp
Starting with the winners, Paige Turley and Finn Tapp remain the reigning champions of Love Island’s 2020 winter edition, and this month the beloved stars are celebrating their one-year relationship anniversary.
The pair gushed about their enduring romance on their respective Instagram pages, and the iconic couple seems closer than ever.
Both shared stunning snaps of each other, with Finn posting: “What a year it’s been with this incredible woman. I have had the time of my life these past 12 months and I wouldn't change a thing.”
The reality TV star said he’s much happier with Paige around, and she echoed the sentiment but made sure to joke that Finn is the hero for “putting up” with her, especially through lockdown and the pandemic.
The gorgeous blonde said: “One whole year of Polaroid fun with you. You deserve a medal for putting up with me at the best of times.. through a pandemic is really something else!!”
The couple moved into their flat in Manchester soon after the show ended, and just before Christmas, Finn even hinted a proposal could be on the cards soon, sharing how their relationship has been accelerating since they left the villa.
"Marriage is definitely something we want to do and I guess it's just down to me now to pull my finger out," he said at the time.
Outside of coupledom, Finn continues to work on his training and fitness and regularly does marketing for different brands and clothing companies such as His Column.
Paige Turley, whom fans will also remember for her infamous relationship with Lewis Capaldi and incredible voice in her own right, continues to work on her singing career post-Love Island.
The star released a cover song of Artful Dodger’s Movin’ Too Fast last summer and will undoubtedly return to the studio once the latest lockdown is over.
Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman
The first South African edition of Love Island spoiled shippers with not one but two totally loved-up couples, as in an unusual twist the ITV2 show’s runners-up are also still together and going strong.
Arguably the more-popular couple in the villa, Siannise Fudge, 26, and Luke Trotman, 23, captured the hearts of the nation last year, and fans were desperate for the pair to stay together on the outside.
Despite the uncertainty and chaos of the global coronavirus pandemic, the duo managed to weather the storm, moving in together at the start of the summer.
Still living in their luxury flat in South West London and serving plenty of iconic looks on their social media, the pair regularly collaborate on TikToks together.
The couple took things to the next level when they revealed they’d adopted an adorable puppy called Nala Trotman-Fudge last month.
The couple has even proved they’re able to continue to work together too, releasing their matching clothing range in partnership with the company Conqr just before Christmas.
The pieces feature plenty of neutral beige and khaki as the couple continue to market their latest fashion.
Both Luke and Siannise also work for various brands individually.
Demi Jones and Luke Mabbott
After a number of twists and turns in the villa, Demi, who was initially coupled up with Nad Majeed, and Luke finally found romance and ended the show together.
On the outside, however, things didn’t quite go to plan when the rose-tinted glasses were off.
A source told The Sun at the time of their split: "It's no huge drama – they're just better off as friends. They had a good run but they have split for good.
“There’s been no cheating or drama they just drifted apart – he’s looking forward to lockdown being over and making the most of his new single status,” the insider added.
Unfortunately, things gradually turned ugly when Luke began dating surfer babe Lucie Donlan, and Demi hinted their relationship didn't end well.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, Demi revealed: “So we were all happy, we came out of the villa, we came third which was absolutely amazing, we were all caught up in the Love Island craziness.”
The influencer continued to say that as lockdown went on, she didn’t feel like her messages or phone calls were being “reciprocated,” so she pressed Luke to tell her if his heart was really in it.
While he claimed he was, Demi said it wasn’t long before he suddenly ended things, and then his relationship with Lucie came out in the press.
Luke hit back against his ex on his Instagram stories, claiming his relationship with Demi had been a facade.

“It wasn't out of the blue,” the former islander insisted.
“We didn't talk for a week and I thought I need to ring her and explain that we're not going to pursue any further, which I did, and she said ‘can you wait three weeks for my clothing brand to launch to get publicity around it’.”
While the drama between the pair carries on, Luke and Lucie seem more loved up than ever.
Demi continues to gather success on her YouTube from her thousands of fans and works to grow the success of her clothing collection for In The Style.
She is also a brand ambassador for beauty company Project Lip.
Jess Gayle and Ched Uzor
After some unlucky attempts to find love on the show, and having to say goodbye to her sister Eve who was dumped from the island, Jess finally found happiness with newcomer Ched Uzor.
The pair continued to see each other when they got back to the UK at first, but announced in June they had decided to part ways.
A statement said: "After a whirlwind romance in the Love Island villa, unfortunately, Jessica Gale and Ched Uzor have made the mutual decision to split.
"They have unfortunately felt the effects of lockdown separation but will continue as friends.”
The spokesperson for the duo added they both have nothing but good wishes and happiness for the future for each other.
Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu
Mike Boateng and Priscilla are also still going strong after the ITV2 show.
In a disappointing twist, the couple were booted from the villa just before the final night, but they haven’t let that cause any issues for them.
Following their return back home, Mike moved permanently to London and the pair swiftly moved in together soon after.
Ever since, Mike and Priscilla have been open about their plans for the future, with both sharing they were excited to get married and have children.
Mike is yet to pop the question, but he revealed that he’s “the happiest man alive” after the show.
He was a police officer before taking part in the show, but now rides the wave of fame filming TV commercials and focusing on his fashion and fitness career.
Priscilla does various modelling and presenting gigs, including an award at the MOBO Awards which she said was a “highlight” of her career.
Callum Jones and Molly Smith
Callum Jones, 24, shocked viewers when he decided to ditch his original partner Shaughna Phillips – who he had been coupled up with since day one – for newcomer Molly Smith in Casa Amor.
The dramatic twist caused plenty of drama at the time, but it wasn’t long before Callum and Molly became a firm favourite in their own right, with fans falling in love with the pair’s cheeky romance.
Callum and Molly were dumped from the island just before the final, but they moved in together soon after.
Now living in Manchester, the pair shares plenty of snaps from the lockdown on their social media, and Molly has also launched a popular new YouTube Channel featuring the both of them.
Shaughna Phillips, 26, was dubbed the unofficial “queen” of Love Island.
Despite her heartbreak in the villa, the TV favourite has continued her popularity with fans on the outside and bagged herself a “six figure brand deal” with popular clothing brand In the Style.
Now boasting 1.5million followers, the stunner regularly posts snaps of her to-die-for clothes, as well as gifts from Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
The smart reality star has also worked with Dancing On Ice hunk Jake Quickenden on The Real Full Monty On Ice where she gained a whole new batch of fans who said she was “so beautiful” and didn’t need to worry about her lack of “confidence”.
In terms of the rest of the cast from last year, fans will be pleased to learn that Nad Majeed, 24, and Eva Zapico are still together one year on.
Nas and Eva got together in Casa Amor, and while the latter admitted post-island that she wasn’t sure they’d make it as a couple, especially with a pandemic, she added that as soon as they finally saw each other again ”all those feelings came flooding back”.
Other notable characters included Rochelle Humes’ sister Sophie Piper, 22, who sadly didn’t stay lucky in love when she and fellow islander Connor Durman split during the lockdown.
Sophie continues to find work in her modelling career, and Connor is a brand ambassador and influencer.
Cornish Heir to the Lanhydrock Estate and soon-to-be Viscount Clifden, Ollie Jones, who was one of the more memorable characters in the villa, went back to his life before the show.
Love Island fans are chomping at the bit for the sun-soaked series to return this summer.
Presenter Laura Whitmore hinted the ITV2 series is set to come back this year with a bang, teasing: “I think we could all do with some Love this summer…"
Love Island 2017 star Georgia Harrison has also claimed that the show is going ahead this year after revealing that potential contestants are already being interviewed.
