An unknown Australian artist who joined TikTok to promote her work has auditioned for The Crown after fans convinced her she looked just like Kate Middleton.
Brittany Dixon does indeed bear an uncanny resemblance to the elegant royal and since producers of the hit show are apparently on the hunt for a “stunning” actress who can play Kate while she was at university, she decided to go for it.
TikTok users urgently urged Brittany to go for the role, with one saying: "Please you need to apply!! You’re the Kate we need!"
Another said: "Wow Netflix that’s it! Your work is done TikTok casted for you, perfectly! You look exactly like her!"
Brittany has now confirmed she has in fact auditioned and in an illuminating video described the process.
She said: "I was not expecting that video to get that much attention.
"So I did end up applying, they just wanted a selfie, some general information, and a 30-second video of me talking about something I love.
"Obviously I talked about painting, so we'll see how it goes and if they even see it."
Meanwhile, details of the strict bedtime routine that Kate, 40, enforces on her children have emerged.
According to reports, Princess Charlotte, seven, Prince George, eight and Prince Louis, four, have to adhere to “rules and discipline” like normal children and have a nanny who firmly enforces their bedtime rules.
Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has been with the family since before George’s first birthday.
She’s a graduate of the world-renowned Norland Nanny School in Bath, and wears the iconic brown uniform as evidence.
Speaking to the Sun, Norland Nanny expert Louise Heren said: “There will be no messing.
“That’s because Maria will be aware that as they step off planes, holding Mum’s hands, smiling and waving to the crowds, there can’t be any crying or terrible twos or tantrums.”
All three kids reportedly have their bedtimes set for 7pm and both William and Kate are said to make sure they get home in time to say goodnight.
