The Masked Singer Firework theories – soap stars, Spice Girl and Doctor Who icon
The Masked Singer always has a buzz around the show and fans are constantly twittering on about who could be under what mask, but we've rounded up the best Firework theories for you.
During week one, Firework sang Domino by Jessie J and clues included mentioned style and being a "pocket rocket".
TV show judges Rita Ora, Davina McCall, Jonathon Ross and Mo Gilligan have all made wild guesses including stars such as Mel C, Jodie Kidd and Melanie Sykes.
But the fan theories are where it's at, and include some seriously sexy soap stars, an Atomic Kitten singer and a Spice Girl.
Some ITV viewers are convinced they've cracked the character's identity after spotting some clues that point towards former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan.
After spotting a '900' clue, fans stormed to Twitter to point out the reason why it could be Mark Wright's missus.
One fan said: "Michelle Keegan did sex on fire on lip sync battle and beat 900 other people to get the role of Tina in Corrie! It’s Michelle!!"
A second explained: "Michelle Keegans Wikipedia page says she beat 900 people to get the part of Tina. #MaskedSingerUK … I've been sucked into this"
The Masked Singer judge Mo also said that he found Firework tricky after thinking he heard a northern accent in the video, however, he couldn't hear it during the song.
However, he did suggest it could have been Michelle but opted for Melanie Sykes as his guess instead.
In Firework's VT before her time on stage, they claimed that they had made an impression with an outfit.
After this, other fans also rushed to their keyboards to share their thoughts that Firework could be Spice Girls legend Geri Horner, who was known for her iconic Union Jack dress.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Geri Horner? #firework She made an impression with her Union Jack dress #MaskedSinger"
Another tweeted: "Geri Halliwell = firework"
While a third penned: "Firework could be Geri."
Other viewers of the wacky show believe it could be The Voice Kids judge Pixie Lott who is hiding inside the costume.
When they performed last week, fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on just how much the vocals sounded like they belonged to the singer.
A fan said: "WAIT HOLD ON WHY DOES FIREWORK SOUND LIKE PIXIE LOTT AGAIN?! I'M SO CONFUSED!!! #MaskedSingerUK"
Another predicted: "Firework sounds like Pixie Lott with that distinct voice #MaskedSingerUK"
Michelle wasn't the only Corrie star in the running to be under the mask, with the soap's Sally Carman also being named as a suspect.
Sally plays Abi Franklin in the ITV soap and even logged into Twitter to respond to a few claims herself.
One fan said: "@sallycarman1 is firework!! #MaskedSinger"
To which she cryptically responded: "Ooooh??"
Another convinced viewer stated: "Firework is DEFINITELY Abi off of Corrie @sallycarman1"
Sally then simply tweeted back with a laughing face and a detective emoji.
There's also a rumour that it could be former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona, who has revealed that she finds the predications "so funny".
In her column for new!, she wrote: "A few people have been asking if I'm Firework on The Masked Singer, which I find so funny.
"There have been a few now I've been mentioned on that show – a lot of people thought I was on it last year.
"I haven't been watching it this year, as I've been too busy binge-watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I'm completely obsessed with it."
Lastly, a Love Island star has also crept up into fan estimations as others place their bets on Winter Love Island winner Paige Turley.
Paige is a singer as well as a reality star and appeared to match up with some clues such as the one about 'dumping' which could allude to the dating strategy on Love Island.
Another clue also emphasised that the mystery singer is "known for being on a reality show".
Firework's VT claimed: "The reality of being a firework is that you're always looking for a spark. I like things that spark my interest," which could link to the star looking for love on the hit reality series.
