The Masked Singer: Dragon’s identity ‘unveiled’ in huge Drag Race clue

The Masked Singer: John Thomson revealed as Bush Baby

Seven celebrities remain in the race to keep their identity hidden on The Masked Singer. Badger, Robin, Sausage, Blob, Harlequin, Viking and Dragon will perform again tonight for judges Rita Ora, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan. Those watching at home are still looking out for clues which will help them identify who is behind the costumes. But there is one act viewers seem to have already cracked: Dragon.

Dragon has proven themselves to be one of the trickier contestants on this year’s edition of The Masked Singer on ITV.

Some of the names that have cropped up so far are those of Susan Calman, Sue Perkins and Michelle Visage.

The clues the Dragon has been giving out have left fans and judges mostly in disagreement up until this point.

However, one clue from their latest appearance seems to undoubtedly be pointing to Drag Race star Courtney Act.

Before taking the stage to sing All By Myself By Celine Dion, Dragon gave out some more hints about their identity.

“Being the Dragon is too much fun,” they said.

“You can’t deny there’s destiny in me becoming the Dragon, it’s like my journey started and ended with a giant winged costume.

“It’s true, I’m no oath breaker,” added the Dragon, saying they had been “all over the world”.

It was the comment about the winged costume that convinced people about Courtney.

According to fans, the clue is hinting at one of Courtney’s most iconic costumes on her debut series of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she stunned everyone with a pair of huge mechanical wings sprouting from her back.

“The dragon talked about a winged costume???? My guess has been solidified! One of the most iconic costumes on the show,” said one fan on Reddit.

“If Courtney Act doesn’t burst out of Dragon by the end of the series, I’ll flip a lid #MaskedSingerUK” said another on Twitter.

A third fan added: “DRAGON IS 100% COURTNEY ACT. ‘It feels like my career started and ended with this giant winged costume.’ LIKE THIS ONE????”

“The dragon is Courtney Act you can’t change my mind TheMaskedSinger,” shared someone else.

A fifth continued: “Waiting to see the dragon on #MaskedSingerUK is it @courtneyact i really hope so..”

“If dragon isn’t Courtney Act I will amputate my left ear,” dared another one.

This has not been the first clue to point fans toward the drag queen.

In her second appearance on stage, Dragon sang  Randy Newman’s You’ve Got a Friend in Me, from the movie Toy Story, a song which Courtney also sang with her Drag Race co-star Adore Delano.

The rainbow on the Dragon’s belly could also be a hint to the LGBTQ+ community.

Courtney famously appeared on the first season of Australian Idol in 2003, confirming her singing talents.

The Masked Singer continues on ITV on Saturday at 7pm.
