Spoilers: Emma arrested for money laundering in devastating twist in Corrie
Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) confessed the truth about the money she took from Scott Emberton (Tom Roberts) in Coronation Street tonight (November 4), and she was ultimately arrested as a result.
After catching Emma snooping through his bag, Scott offered her £5,000 of the money he stole from the bistro in an effort to buy her silence.
Emma was unable to refuse such an offer given how desperate Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is to raise money for Oliver, and therefore she agreed to the criminal’s terms.
However, with Scott having been apprehended by the police, she found herself in trouble with the law.
The Rovers barmaid initially denied having any knowledge of the £5,000, but after Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) offered her some advice, she decided to come clean.
After informing the police that she did, in fact, take the money, she was subsequently arrested for handling stolen cash.
Emma later informed Steve that she was charged with money laundering, and that she’s due to appear in court tomorrow.
She’s intent on pleading guilty, but will she receive a fine?
Or will she go to prison?
Coronation Street continues Friday November 6 at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
