Tipping Point fans hit out during Thursday’s instalment of the ITV game show after producers aired the same Christmas special just 24 hours earlier. When host Ben Shephard introduced celebrity guests Clare Balding, Joe Swash and Sherrie Hewson onto the show, fans were quick to realise the episode also aired on Wednesday. Many took to social media to vent their fury over the “repeat of a repeat”.
ITV bosses treated Tipping Point fans to last year’s celebrity special of the show titled Tipping Point Lucky Stars on Thursday.
But eagle-eyed viewers quickly realised the same episode of the ITV show was aired just one day earlier on ITV2.
During the special, Joe got booted out in the first round followed by Sherrie after they failed to match the sporting presenter’s wealth of knowledge.
When it came down to the final round, Clare managed to win more than £20,000 for her chosen charity which was for Street Vets.
Viewers took to Twitter to blast producers for airing the show twice in such a short space of time, with @the-pensioner commenting: “I think you’ll find that it’s a repeat, of a repeat, of a repeat.”
Arthur Summersell fumed: “F*****g hell, even this is a repeat! #tippingpoint”
Angelica Day added: “No, seriously, they have already shown this #tippingpoint, it was on last night.”
Barnze commented: “I hope #TheChase isn’t a repeat.”
However, Gill enjoyed watching the re-run and said: “Just caught the end of #TippingPoint. Repeat from last year when brilliant @clarebalding won and as a result @streetvetuk benefited.”
Clare’s winnings went towards delivering free essential veterinary care and services to the pets of people experiencing homelessness.
Tipping Point fans can look forward to an all-new celebrity Christmas special, which airs tonight (December 24) on ITV.
The guests include The Only Way Is Essex’s Bobby Norris, former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt and Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke.

They’ll take turns answering questions until one player is left standing to play for a £20,000 jackpot for their chosen charity.
Host Ben shared a preview of the Tipping Point Lucky Stars Christmas Special on his social media.
The hilarious clip showed Bobby panicking to work out how many vowels were in the word nutcracker.
But he pressed the buzzer before Ben had even finished answering the question which left the presenter in stitches.
Ben tweeted: “The one where @bobbycnorris went early! Make sure you’re bang on time for our #TippingPoint Lucky Stars Christmas Special today at 3.55pm.”
The Good Morning Britain host has been presenting Tipping Point since 2012.
Tipping Point Lucky Stars first aired on ITV in June 2013 and the first Christmas special was broadcast in December 2018.
Tipping Point Lucky Stars airs Christmas Eve on ITV at 3.55pm and will be available on ITV Hub.
