Peter Andre goes 'starkers' to show off wild hair do as he embraces turning grey

PETER Andre has gone "starkers from the waist down" on Instagram as he embraces going grey by showing off his new hair do.

The Mysterious Girl singer took a close-up selfie for his fans to show off his thick, dark tresses, which was going grey at the tips.

Embracing the new look, Pete, 48, wrote to fans that he "liked" the new natural colour as he joked he was "starkers from the waist down".

Staring intensely into the camera with a slight smile, the pop sensation showed off his unbrushed hair which was tinged grey at the top.

"No idea what's happened to the hair but I like it," he wrote to his following. "Anyone care? NO. Am I still posting it? YES."

Enjoying some relaxing time at home, Pete also revealed he'd put on a top for the snap but was totally naked on the bottom half.

Fans immediately flooded the comments to compliment Pete's look, and urged him "not to dye" his hair to cover up the natural grey.

"Grow old gracefully and don't dye it," one woman wrote, as a second agreed: "Someone's started to go grey… Silver fox!"

"You still look great," chimed in a third fan, while a fourth concurred: "I really like the silver fox. It's coming through."

It comes days after it was revealed that Peter is working on his first album in six years  – and it includes a track called Island Girl which is a sequel to his most famous hit.

Mysterious Girl was first released in 1995 and topped the chart in 2004 after his stint on I’m A Celebrity . . .  Get Me Out Of Here!.

But after Peter’s 2015 swing album Come Fly With Me, his new record may not be what people are expecting as he has been heavily influenced by reggae.

A music insider told The Sun: “Peter got back into the studio in lockdown and has written tracks with some really talented people.

“He’s been inspired by reggae and pop sounds for the songs and the album is very nearly finished.

“Island Girl is looking likely to be the lead single and he is now in talks with two record labels to secure a deal to get it all released.

“He has been doing his old hits on stage for years and has shows scheduled for the summer but now he’s raring to give the charts another crack.

“Pete can understand why some may be sceptical about his music but he reckons people will be impressed when they hear it.”
