Outlander’s Kyle Rees recently took to Instagram with a video and shared major wedding news, announcing he tied the knot with his fiancee Aimee Louise. His co-stars including Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan sent the couple sweet messages of commendation.
Over the weekend, Kyle, who plays John Quincy Myers, got hitched in a lavish ceremony to his partner Aimee Louise.
The actor shared a video of the stunning wedding on Instagram and his comments were flooded with tons of best wishes from the cast, crew and fans.
The video showed the newly wedded couple make their first entrance to a room full of loved ones, applauding them as they made their way down the stairs.
After one set of steps, Kyle picked up Aimee and carried her down the rest at which the guests cheered.
Caitriona who played Claire Fraser on Outlander commented: “Ha! Brilliant. Congratulations you two!”
Jamie Fraser star Sam Heughan wrote: “Oh my god, congrats you two!”

Kyle also posted a photo of himself and his new wife on their wedding day, captioned: “We did it. The most incredible day. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it. Very lucky!”
Sadly, the couple faced a number of mishaps with their big day due to the pandemic but officially became husband and wife on Saturday.
Another fan, Courtney commented: “What a fabulous celebration Kyle – your new bride looks like a very fun lass – all the best to you both.”
While Cindy wrote: “Congratulations! You know how to celebrate, that was the best entrance EVER!”
Kyle’s Outlander character John Quincy Myers is expected to return for season six when it finally premieres early next year.
He had a major character development throughout the series after first befriending Claire and Jamie when they first moved to America.
In season four, viewers saw a different side to him as the self-proclaimed mountain man fought beside Jamie to save Claire.
While the show didn’t make an official announcement, the actor shared he was in Scotland and fans presumed he was also filming for the upcoming season.
Outlander is the on-screen adaption of a best-selling novel series written by Diana Gabaldon and season six is set to be based on her sixth book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes.
However, other fans who have read the series noted John didn’t have a storyline in box six, which left many questioning how he would exit the show.
Despite this, it was previously stated the show doesn’t completely follow the books, in fact, if it did, John wouldn’t have existed in season five.
Unfortunately, an official release date for season six is yet to be announced, however, express.co.uk will be updated.
Outlander season six is expected to premiere on Starz in early 2022.
