New ’21 Bridges’ Trailer Tangles Chadwick Boseman’s Cop Up in Criminal Conspiracy
The Russo brothers may be done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (for now), but they’re still working with members of the “Avengers” team.
At a Comic-Con panel today, the filmmaker brothers unveiled a new trailer for their next producing project, the crime thriller “21 Bridges,” starring Chadwick Boseman.
Directed by Brian Kirk, the film follows an NYPD detective who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. Determined to catch the killers, Boseman goes to extreme lengths, including shutting down bridges and closing tunnels — basically locking the whole city of Manhattan down.
Over the course of the night, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing — and who is in pursuit of him.
The movie also stars Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Keith David, Taylor Kitsch and J.K. Simmons.
After “Avengers: Endgame,” Boseman has been very busy. His next projects is Spike Lee’s Netflix join “Da 5 Bloods.” And we fully expect a sequel to “Black Panther” at some point.
