Neighbours real-life couple Chris Milligan and Jenna Rosenow announce engagement

Neighbours real life couple Chris Milligan and Jenna Rosenow have confirmed they have got engaged with a sweet snap.

The pair shared the news with a picture of themselves on a beach in Malibu,California, with Jenna's engagement ring seen in the snap.

Jenna and Chris were seen looking lovingly into each other's eyes on the sand, in front of a stunning sunset backdrop.

Chris captioned the picture: "How good is the sunset?"

Unsurprisingly, it didn't take long for the stars of Neighbours to rush to the picture to share their congratulations for the happy news.

Ben Hall, who plays Ned Willis, wrote: "Congratulations guys."

April Rose Pengilly, aka Chloe Brennan, said: "CONGRATULATIONS!"

Chris and Amber met whilst they were both starring in Neighbours, with Chris playing Kyle Canning and Jenna playing Amber Turner.

They both left the soap in 2016 to pursue a career in Los Angeles, but Chris later reprised his role as Kyle in 2019.

Jenna played Amber for three years before her exit, and is set to star in new Netflix drama Firefly Lane with Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke.

Meanwhile, Chris joined the Neighbours cast as Kyle, meaning he will be celebrating ten years on the beloved Aussie soap this year.

Chris previously opened up about the first moment he met Jenna on set in his co-star Takaya Honda's podcast, making a sweet admission about liking her as soon as he met her.

He also opened up about considering a return to Los Angeles to follow other acting opportunities, saying they were open to the big move again.

Chris said: ""I mean me and Jenna moved to LA, we were in LA for two years.

"Then we moved to Canada for six months. Then I came back to Brisbane, back to labouring work for three months, and then I came back on the show."

He added: "The whole LA thing, going over there and doing that, I feel like I'm going to be better once I go back," he explained.

"It's not that I wasn't ready… I don't think I was ready for what would've happened if I did get a job. I was looking at LA the wrong way."

Neighbours continues today at 1.45pm on Channel 5.
