Natalie Cassidy has taken to social media to vent her frustrations after a particularly ‘stressful’ morning trying to get her daughter to her gymnastics club.

The EastEnders icon shared the ordeal on her Instagram, revealing that trying to locate the summer club proved frustrating due to road closures and confusion.

In a bid to get her seven-year-old there on time, the Sonia Fowler star spoke to a lady who was also in the company of a little girl in a gymnastics outfit, hoping that she could direct her where to go.

‘I said: “Excuse me, are you going to the gymnastics club?”,’ said Natalie, retelling the story for her followers online. ‘She said: “Yeah yeah yeah. There’s no parking down there but follow me.”

Natalie, however, was left confused, as she thought the gymnastics club was ‘over that bridge’ – but the lady directed her elsewhere.

‘I park up and follow this woman,’ she continued. ‘Basically, we’re running after strangers. I follow her into the gymnastics club and it’s the wrong one!’.

The 43-year-old said that everyone was looking at her, which prompted her to say that it’s ‘not the right’ club before returning to her car, at which point her child is ‘having a meltdown’.

‘Anyway, I got her there!’, she concluded, ’11 minutes late, which isn’t too bad. But would’ve been better to stay at home and watch a film!’.

Natalie, who has played Sonia on EastEnders since 1993, recently underwent a hair transformation, dying her dark hair to a much lighter colour.

Despite the positive reaction from fans online, however, she decided to return to the hairdresser in order to go back to her original look.

‘To everyone who’s said nice things about my barnet, thank you but I’m changing it back’ the actress wrote alongside a picture of her new look.

‘‘I’m pleased I tried going lighter but I just don’t feel like me!’ Natalie added, before joking, ‘My poor hairdresser!’.
