Love Island star calls out ITV for missed potential after entering too late

Love Island bombshell Nathalia Campos has admitted that she thinks she was “wasted potential” while in the villa after she was sent in just days before the final.

Nathalia was sent in along with fellow bombshells Lacey, Jamie and Reece but failed to establish a connection with anyone in the villa.

She went for Davide, which ended badly and caused an argument between her and Ekin-Su, and Adam, who politely declined her advances.

All the couples were well established by the time the final wave of bombshells were sent in and Nathalia has some thoughts.

She said: “Well, I’m not going to lie, I think I was put in a little bit too late. I think at that stage, there was very little chance. It was a big risk. If I had chosen, I would have chosen to go in earlier. They had been together for weeks and I was in the villa for only a day before there was a recoupling. How can I [get to know] someone in just one day?”

If she had been sent in earlier, Nathalia admitted that she had her eye on a certain someone and would have made a move.

Campos admitted: “Jay was definitely someone I had my eye on. Throughout my quarantine, they kept asking me to update them with my top three and he was always there. I was disappointed when he left because he wasn’t in a stable situation with anyone, so he would have been nice to get to know.”

The star is also eager to return to the show “as her time was cut very short” and she has “so much more to offer”, which has been “the main thing” that people have been asking her.

“That’s the main comment I’m getting on my DMs and on Twitter, how I was wasted potential! When I went inside the villa it was 10 days until the final.”

Until Nathalia is sent back into Love Island, she has admitted that she will spend time working on herself and getting her name out there.

The star revealed: “In the meantime, I’m just going to have some fun. Enjoy whatever this is, figure it all out. I definitely have a lot of plans for modelling, to create my own brand and my Instagram so I can work with the brands I want. Still do something for myself.”
