Love Island fans in hysterics as Tommy Fury tries to cut ice with a butter knife

LOVE Island fans were left in hysterics as Tommy Fury tried to cut ice with a butter knife.

The 20-year-old boxer grew frustrated when the frozen cube wouldn't break in a previously unaired clip that was shown during last night's Unseen Bits episode.

Tommy had wanted to put ice in two of the show's iconic water bottles and was less than impressed when the cube was too large to fit.

He muttered to himself: "Trying to make a drink to do good and this is the thing that happens to you."

Tommy first tried to break it up with his bare hands before whacking it with a fork.

He then grabbed a blunt butter knife to try and carve through the ice, which unsurprisingly didn't work.

Giving up, he moaned: "F*** it.

"Yep, that's not going in."

He sighed and put his hands on his hips before giving up on the idea completely.

Needless to say, viewers at home were tickled by the scene, with many poking fun at his blind optimism.

Flocking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "The fact that Tommy was trying to cut a chunk of ice with a table knife screams for intervention!!"

Another added: "I’m sorry but why is no one talking about Tommy trying to cut up ice with a butter knife?"

A third asked: "Tommy tryna cut ice with a fork, how the hell has he reached 20???"

The hilarious moment comes as it was revealed that the Love Island hunk had slid into former Towie star Lauren Goodger's DMs while he was still in a relationship with ex-girlfriend Millie Roberts.

Tommy – who is coupled up with influencer Molly-Mae Hague in the villa – is reported to have pursued the 32-year-old reality star between December and April of this year.

Tommy was with Millie during that time, only ditching his ex weeks before the start of Love Island at the beginning of June.

In March, Lauren and Tommy shared flirty comments underneath a video of one of Tommy's fights.

Lauren wrote "Sexy AF", prompting Tommy to reply "My gal" with a love heart emoji.

A source told The Mirror: "Tommy was sending her flirty messages asking to meet up. They spent a lot of time talking on FaceTime, and she started to fancy him.

"She asked if he had a girlfriend. He said he couldn’t be more single. He’d say he couldn’t wait to meet up for a drink, but it never happened.

He was really complimentary to her and was always saying how sexy she was. Lauren went off him romantically and they never got round to organising a date."

A representative for Lauren declined to comment.

The Sun Online has contacted a representative for Tommy.
