Kirsty Gallacher’s sexiest looks as GB News launches – sexy Bond girl to bra ad

With more than 20 years' experience in the entertainment industry, Kirsty Gallacher is set to return to her "first love" with her new role.

Working alongside the likes of BBC's Simon McCoy and ITV's Alastair Stewart, the broadcaster, 45, has been confirmed as a host on GB News, with the network launching this Sunday.

Discussing the role, Kirsty told MailOnline: "Journalism is my first love and I'm thrilled to be getting back into the heart of it at GB News.

"The channel has an amazing energy and excitement and there's a real spirit of innovation there. It'll definitely look and feel different, I think."

She added that she felt like the channel was "making history".

Conceived by Andrew Neil, GB News is the first brand-new channel to launch in the UK since Sky's inception more than 30 years ago.

Ahead of her debut on the network, Daily Star has taken a look back at her varied wardrobe choices over the years, reflecting on her changing – though ever-glamorous – sense of style.

Bra adverts

Six years after landing her first presenting break, Kirsty started collaborating with major brands, memorably fronting a new campaign with lingerie brand Triumph.

In honour of the launch of their new sports bra, Kirsty Gallacher modelled the sporty underwear set in 2004, pairing the bra with some low-slung joggers.

The shoot saw her exercise on a new Tunturi running machine at the Triumph Showroom in London.

That same year, she was confirmed as the host of 2004 the sports game show Simply the Best alongside Phil Tufnell, guiding contestants through the hoops.

Gym gear

Sports brands were lining up to work with Kirsty in the years that followed, as she became one of Britain's most experienced and esteemed sporting broadcasters.

The mum-of-two agreed to become the new face of Powerade Aqua Plus in 2005, taking part in a workout-themed shoot to advertise the drink.

Kirsty posed alongside fitness trainer Matt Roberts in the campaign, which saw her pumping iron in the gym and leaning against the changing room lockers.

The partnership coincided with her first stint as the host of the All Star Cup on Sky One, heralding a long-running career with the network.

LBD

Kirsty worked a little black dress for her arrival at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in 2008, wearing a gown with lace panelling at the waist.

The sports star paired the cocktail dress with metallic accessories, slipping into some silver stilettos and sweeping her hair back into a low bun.

The broadcaster was in good company on the night – the red carpet was littered with stars, with the likes of Lily Allen, Thandie Newton and Elton John in attendance.

Held at the Royal Opera House in central London, the event saw the names like band Led Zeppelin and photographer David Bailey scoop up awards.

Office attire

Another memorable photoshoot, this time from 2010, saw Kirsty dress up in business attire to host the American Express Platinum Cashback Credit Card golf tournament in London.

Posing against the backdrop of Canary Wharf's skyscrapers, the TV personality wore a tailored pencil skirt and a blouse, swinging a golf club against the horizon.

As part of the event, Kirsty challenged nearby office workers to sink a put on a makeshift golf course, helping to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

That same year, she married rugby star Paul Sampson, though the pair eventually drifted, announcing their separation in 2014.

Strictly Come Dancing

Like many British celebs, Kirsty has enjoyed her time in Strictly Come Dancing spotlight, taking to the infamous BBC dance floor in 2015.

She was paired with professional dancer Brendan Cole, but only made it to week six of the competition, with The Wanted's Jay McGuiness going on to win the show.

While filming the series, Kirsty admitted her biggest fear was a wardrobe mishap, telling The Sun: "The most embarrassing thing would be actually popping out of your dress.

"Realistically it's not going to happen as the wardrobe people are brilliant, but actual exposure would be horrendous.

"If you make a mistake or fall over, it happens because we're not professional dancers. But popping out…"

Bond girl

In honour of her 40th birthday, Kirsty decided to ring in the new decade by channelling her inner Bond girl, taking her cue from the legendary Ursula Andress.

In a campaign with Champneys Spa, she modelled a seaweed-inspired bikini, recreating the scene in which Honey Ryder emerges from the sea in Dr No.

Discussing her decision to collaborate with the brand, who were launching a new detox range, she said at the time: "I'm a big advocate of detoxing from skin to soul and swear by the Champneys Detox range to revive and renew.

"Seaweed and sea minerals are amazing natural ingredients that makes skin smoother and firmer, with noticeable results even in hard to reach problem areas."

Marathon bikini

Recent years have seen Kirsty pump out more content on Instagram, regularly offering fans a glimpse into her personal life with holiday snapshots and outfit pictures.

One such post – showing the sports expert sunning herself on a getaway – was a major hit with fans, as Kirsty showcased her abs on a sun lounger.

Working a black string bikini, a pair of classic sunglasses, and a slicked-back ponytail, the Scottish starlet was the definition of poolside glamour in the 2019 snap.

"What a special week with my boys & lots of rest and relaxation as well as the all-important training of course," she said at the time, referencing her running schedule.

Later that year, Kirsty took part in the London marathon, determined to raise money for the charity Safe Hands, which distributes sexual and reproductive health information to women and girls.

Ever the champion when it comes to sporting pursuits, she completed the course in five hours and 32 minutes.
