Katie Price hints Ed Sheeran has co-written a song for her album during live Loose Women appearance
Katie Price has hinted musician Ed Sheeran has co-written a song for her for her new album.
The 41 year old appeared on Loose Women on Thursday afternoon, where she announced she was continuing her musical career and releasing an album – and also confirmed the news that she's engaged to Kris Boyson .
She then excitedly revealed to the panellists that there would be one big name co-writing a song for her, hinting it was British singing legend Ed Sheeran – who has enjoyed a string of number ones and collaborated with the likes of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.
Katie spoke of her new music, including single Hurricane, revealing: “It’s not just my single, I’m actually doing an album and someone already who is an A-Lister who has two top 10 hits at the moment, has co-written a song for my album.
"It won’t be hard to work out who that is… My next album is going to smash it. I’m doing some old-school club classic covers, some original ones, I love the ballads, but I’m going dance this time. It’s an amazing track he’s done for the album.”
After the panel pushed that it must be Ed Sheeran when she said of A-list musical talent working with her and hinted towards the name, Katie said: “Why wouldn’t they? They’ve met me, they know me, they don’t judge me.”
Fans in their masses shared their disbelief over what happened, with one writing: “Ed Sheeran has co-written a song for Katie Price’s album, 2019 is mad one…”
“Katie Price has a big announcement on Loose Women. Engaged AGAIN. More of a shock she’s releasing an album with a song by Ed Sheeran. I think I’m having a weird daydream from the heat!” a second wrote.
A third added: “Omg Katie Price is releasing a new album written by Ed Sheeran!!!!! The British Whitney is back!”
Katie previously revealed her hopes to record with the Shape of You singer.
In a previous episode of Loose Women, she revealed that she wanted to team up with British music superstar Ed, she said: “Ed, come on!”
Her debut album, which she recorded with first husband Peter Andre, A Whole New World, was released in 2006.
The album was deemed a failure when it charted at number 20 upon its release.
A year previous, Katie was voted runner-up in a contest to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest, losing to Javine Hylton.
In 2010, she re-emerged on the music scene with the single Free To Love Again, explaining to GMTV at the time: “I’m not a singer, this is just something that I’m doing for fun. It’s not like I’m worried about getting a chart position or number one, this is purely for fun. Whether people like it or not, I’m doing it.”
