James and Harry divided as Sadie gives birth in Hollyoaks
Sadie Cressington’s (Alexa Lee) arrival in Hollyoaks has brought nothing but heartache for James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) and Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) and, unfortunately, the couple’s woes are set to persist in the coming episodes, as Sadie gives birth.
When Harry returned to Chester back in January, there was only one thing on his mind: winning back James. It proved to be an incredibly tough task for the young lad, but — with a little help from Romeo Quinn (Owen Warner) — he succeeded, and the two lovers started anew — excited for what the future had in store for them.
Unfortunately, their future hasn’t been very kind to them, as the last few months have seen things go from bad to worse, as Harry became prime suspect in a police investigation after his car was involved in the hit-and-run which left Grace Black (Tamara Wall) fighting for her life. If that wasn’t hard enough to deal with for the pair, the incident inadvertently brought his ex Sadie back to the village — resulting in plenty more conflict for James.
As a result, James has found himself unable to trust his boyfriend, and has went to extreme measures to find out what he’s been up to. However — in spite of the pair having contemplated breaking up time and again — they ultimately resolve to give things another go in the coming episodes, as Harry treats James to a romantic meal at The Dog.
The meal goes well, and the two men find themselves reminiscing about happier times — including the day in which they first met. However, their happiness is short-lived, as — later in the week — Sadie goes into labour, giving birth to Harry’s child.
This unexpected delivery will undoubtedly result in more conflict for James and Harry, and there will likely be more strain put on their relationship.
The big question is: will they be able to come out the other end? Or will Harry’s child spell the end of #Jarry once and for all?
One to watch: Wednesday 17th July at 7pm on E4.
