Jake Quickenden eyes up ‘Daddy Diaries’ series as he prepares for fatherhood
Dancing On Ice winner Jake Quickenden is hoping to land himself a TV show exploring the highs and lows of becoming a new dad.
The X Factor star turned reality TV regular admits he thinks there is a gap in the market for a male-focused parenthood series after the success of Ferne McCann and Sam and Billie Faiers' motherhood shows.
Jake, 32, and girlfriend Sophie Church are set to welcome their first child together later this spring after dating for two years.
Chatting exclusively to Daily Star, Jake said: "I would love my own show. Maybe a Daddy Diaries type of thing.
"I don't have a clue what to expect or what to do so I think it would give men an insight into it all.
"You have Sam and Faiers and Lydia Bright and Ferne McCann who all have their own shows but I'd want to show the struggles and how some people literally don't know how to go at things."
The tatted lad currently helps raise Sophie's six-year-old son Freddie from a previous relationship.

He often takes to Instagram to document their lockdown days as they try to cope with the realities of home schooling.
Jake and Sophie have decided to keep the sex of the baby a surprise until the birth and have picked both a boy's and girl's name in preparation.
While keeping the names a secret, the star had let slip that both of them begin with the letter L.

Talking about their decision to keep the sex a secret, Jake said: "The baby room is navy and gold and we have white and brown clothes as we feel that's neutral.
"We don' know the sex, we are leaving it as a surprise."
He added via Instagram: "If we don't have a girl then maybe one more."
During a late night question and answer Instagram session on Sunday night, the couple joked their bedroom antics have dried up during lockdown.
Replying to a cheeky fan who asked about how they are finding being intimate while Sophie is pregnant, the couple laughed: "None existent.
"Literally I don't even think mine works any more," Jake said before cheekily going on: "It just fires out air, it is like a pressure washer but with air."
Sniggering, pregnant Sophie added to the comment: "Just pure dust."
