Susanna Reid issued a passionate and fiery warning to Boris Johnson, telling the Prime Minister that Dominic Cummings’ “seven-hour salvo” of allegations and criticisms has begun a public inquiry into the coronavirus pandemic. The ITV’s Good Morning Presenter added that the amount of detail the Prime Minister’s former Chief Advisor went into during his evidence cannot be ignored.
Ms Reid said: “[It] is devasting for the Health Secretary and devasting for our Prime Minister.
“You might not like what Dominic Cummings did during lockdown and you might think that he himself has not been entirely transparent on occasions but you cannot ignore the detail that he went into during that evidence before MPs yesterday.
“Boris Johnson stood up at Prime Minister’s questions and said wait for the public inquiry.
“Well, I am afraid Prime Minister, the public inquiry has already begun with an opening salvo of seven hours of allegations, criticisms and frankly a takedown of what went wrong.
“I just think for anybody effect during the pandemic, that was hard to listen to.
“It will take a long time to absorb.”
