Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek fans disappointed as ITV shares sad announcement
Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek fans have been left devastated after it was revealed that the current series will end after two episodes.
The ITV show sees the unlikely trio travel to the Greek islands and also the capital of Greece, Athens, with the latest series premiering earlier this month.
However, it was recently confirmed that the current season's final episode will be broadcast on Monday, October 4, just a week later.
Following the devastating news, fans of the show aren't best pleased.
Posting in response to Gino D'Acampo on Twitter, fans shared their devastation at the series being so short.
One disgruntled viewer wrote: "Only 2 episodes??!! Please, please please say it ain't so."
Another commented: "Can't wait, but why only two episodes?"
A third viewer replied: "I was hoping you were joking… So it really is just 2 episodes… Are they each like 5 hours long??"
Meanwhile, another said: "I hope they go back and do more."
"I read there was a Covid scare in Egypt and had to cut the series short," another concluded.
Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek stars chefs Gino D'Acampo and Gordon Ramsay, as well as First Dates maître d'hôtel Fred Sirieix.
The show's first episode saw the trio explore the Greek islands.
Its final part will follow the group as they travel to Athens, the birthplace of high-concept cuisine.
Viewers enjoyed Gordon and Gino clashing over Greek and Italian food in the first episode.
They also grew emotional as Gino recounted the story of the last meal ever cooked for him by his deceased mother, who passed away in 2017.
Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek continues at 9 pm on Monday, October 4.
